    Am I missing something?

(I have uncommonly strict blocking defaults when I'm at work)

There's a photo of an 8 foot tree trunk chained to hitch of a truck cab. On the cab is a PTFC logo. The hunk of wood will ostensibly be transported somewhere. I would guess central Ohio.

It's the log on a semi-bed, rolling into town

Should be easy for stadium security to keep out. Sounds like a giant waste of money.

Can't be their usual log. Far too small.
Who's waste of money, I wonder. Some trucker who's a big fan? Fan group? Paulson?

Who knows, maybe MLS is subsidizing part of it given how they seem to help other clubs in certain ways.

they've been cutting the log all season. Used to be much larger.

I think they start each season with a fresh log. That's how I start each new day.

Last time I saw them cutting it, it was much longer. But that was a few months ago. Sounds legit.
    Did not know that.
    Thanks for sharing!

I want to see Timber Joey with his Chainsaw explaining himself to stadium security at the gate...

Somebody behind go, "I can't take an unopened bottled water in but he gets to take THAT in?!?!"

They're not bringing it into the stadium. They're keeping it at their tailgate. Don't see what the big deal is.

I'm on the other side of the fence than you on this one. If they score a goal, that is a punch in the gut enough. Last thing I want to hear is some lumberhipster fire up a chainsaw in our stadium to cut a token. i'm sure our players wouldn't want to hear it to contradict the reality of a home environment.

So then it's utterly pointless? Sounds about right for PacNW hipsterland.

Well, if your goal is to travel a couple thousand miles to stand outside a soccer stadium for hours to cut a piece of wood, then it's not pointless.

That's a very silly goal. Silly like fixies and steampunk knitting.

I Hipster Joey going to cut it outside the stadium then? That would be more nonsense than a Capo keeping their back to the field. If not, then what's the point in bringing it?

You are making me Google things I don't want to Google. I'm guessing fairy version of Furries and the other seems more straightforward, but because of that I'm a tad more frightened to look.

Anyone know a good greenpeace rep? Maybe have them stage a protest :D
Also quite ironic that their "celebration" is to pay homage to the destruction of the forest.

I'm a little disappointed that neither of those made me cringe.
