Windows XP with Opera 8.53 and IE 6 SP2 render poorly. The forum information is in a narrow column near the bottom of the page. The footer is in the right-side box near the top and pushing the rest of the content to the left. Everything looks fine in Firefox. 1280x1024 resolution btw.
I don't understand what you are trying to say. Is this going to be fixed or do we have a way of doing it ourselves?
The only way you could fix the problem yourself would be to install and use Firefox and hope that works. I would guess that: a) some administrator recently changed some CSS (CSS controls the flow, fonts, colors, formatting, etc.) and/or b) code in an advertisement caused a structural addition to the overall layout of the page that admins have yet to encounter and thus plan for or work around and/or c) bigsoccer/advertiser is using some script crap that doesn't work across the browsers. In any case, it is what - noon? and it's not fixed yet?
Plus, Firefox will cook you breakfast in the morning, clean your house while you sleep, and wax your car for you. There's no end to what Firefox can do for you. It's perfect. Oh, and yeah, I don't have the grey box at the top of the page. Me NOT having it must be a glitch in my inferior Internet Explorer.
I use Opera and it is happening in it as well. It wasn't a dig at IE or Firefox or any browser. It simply worked in Firefox for me so that is why I suggested it for the user that questioned me about it. I don't advocate Firefox (I advocate Opera actually). No browser will directly wash your car or make breakfast for you.
My system is running at 1280x1024 and sees the same problem that other folks are seeing with other browsers. I tried clearing cache and cookies to no avail. On my notebook, running Fx at 800x600, it looks even worse.
And here I was about to blame my computer, not realising that it was just yet another BigSucker ********-up for the ages.
Wow. Its been like this all day and there has been no word at all from anyone at bigsoccer. Is it just me, or does BigSoccer have more of these crazy problems then any other site? I wouldnt feel so bad if I wasnt paying for this.
While on my Windows computer at work today, I was having the format problem in IE. Got home, got on my iMac, launched Safari... no format problems. The lesson, as always... switch to a Mac.
