Then as a card carrying memeber of the Red Sox Nation how does a four game choke taste???? The signature says it all.

6 Time World Champion Boston Red Sox ('03,'12,'15,'16,'18,2004)
4 Time MLS Cup Champions DC United ('96,'97,'99,'04)

Shawn, I swear to God, if you put a 86 year hex on us with your signature, Steve Bartman will seem like he got off easy.

Exactly. It also explains the Redskins' 36-year sellout streak.

This is a terrible college sports town.

    Like The Knicks? The Nets?
    Maybe The Mets?
    How about The Jets?

Do you have a really bad LaCross team too (and that's not even a real sport)? Does the name end in "ets"? 'Cause I'm noticing a pattern here ......

Only when you've hit rock bottom and can't go any lower.

I think this thread can be summed up as:
Never has so much abuse by so many been directed at so few.

Well with Fat Tony in the net maybe Adu can make a PK.

  9. Ok - for a metrotard that was pretty funny.....

Kind of reminds me of Fat Tony between the pipes.

Easy now grasshopper. Adu's a fine talent and he's wearing our kit.

As for Tony, can he get big enough to block out the net entirely? Or the sun? And how will they get him into position? Is there a Metrostars forklift? Will hydraulics come into play? Inquiring minds want to know.

    BTW, is it vacation yet?

Well, you are on a soccer board, so you shouldn't be suprised that we're talking about our local soccer teams. But here's some analysis for you:

    MLB

    Nationals 47-31
    NYY 39-38
    NYM 39-39

    NBA

    Washington 45-37
    NJ Nets 42-40
    Knicks (HA!) 33-49

    NFL

    Jets 10-6
    'Skins 6-10
    Giants 6-10

    NHL (03-04)

    NYI 91 pts.
    NYR 69 pts.
    Capitals 59 pts.

Looks pretty even to me in the "real" professional sports.

This is possibly the most inane thing I've ever read. Clearly our friend here suffers from low self-esteem complicated by a serious case of little-man's disease. The condition may have been aggravated by a blow to the head resulting in severe damage to the areas of his cerebrum that control logical, coherent thought.

Fortunately, with the right medical treatment, I think he can still become a productive member of society.

These are the only trophies the Metros get on a regular basis:

These symptoms are consistent with being dropped on the head as an infant.

    So you're both saying he's a "trainable."

Hmm. I guess we'll have to see is those lightbulb folks are hiring. :p

Oh, and the Metros? Throw 'em down the well.

Lol, I guess the law of averages did catch up to us. After 26 World Series championships before you claimed 1.............

:) Good one. I guess you feel using a few selected vocabulary words makes you a genius. I see we're still at the 3rd grade level of calling people stupid when their opinion differs. I stand by my statement. NO ONE GOES TO METROSTARS GAMES AND NO ONE HERE CARES!

Then we have this guy taking credit for a new baseball team when you guys couldn't even support one for decades!

And then this guy who spells a sport LaCross. :) Buddy , I think you got the sport confused with a shirt company who puts alligators on their apparel. No doubt its the type worn by your loser buddy Magikfute while he's cruising around DC for his first girl to kiss.

If you don't care, why are you in the forum of another MLS team talking about them?

PS This is not a college sports town. If you want people who are fanatic about college sports, go west or south.

As a huge DC United fan living in Syracuse, I must protest that we upstate and western NY citizens are being grouped in with the retards to our East.

I will have to defend the Metrotard fan on the lacrosse, as the best lacrosse teams in the world are indeed in New York. Teams from Syracuse won the D1 and D2 college lacrosse titles in 2004. SU is historically the most important lacrosse team, in many ways similar to UNC women's soccer.

OK now back to reality. I hope my DC compatriots will at least venture into NY to visit the US soccer hall of fame in Oneonta. Even though it is the absolute middle of nowhere, it's worth seeing. Plus, you'll be the only one there. You'll have the place to yourself.

Hmm, I'm trying to understand your point. I am a soccer fan and I am allowed to view different threads , right? When I see my area of residence being criticized, I can't respond?

Lol, and now we have this guy who thinks I'm a Metrostar fan. Learn to read would you? And he is right, we're the "retards" to the east who are grouped in with the upstate citizens. Unfortunatly, we're the ones making all the money.
