As a huge DC United fan living in Syracuse, I must protest that we upstate and western NY citizens are being grouped in with the retards to our East. I will have to defend the Metrotard fan on the lacrosse, as the best lacrosse teams in the world are indeed in New York. Teams from Syracuse won the D1 and D2 college lacrosse titles in 2004. SU is historically the most important lacrosse team, in many ways similar to UNC women's soccer. OK now back to reality. I hope my DC compatriots will at least venture into NY to visit the US soccer hall of fame in Oneonta. Even though it is the absolute middle of nowhere, it's worth seeing. Plus, you'll be the only one there. You'll have the place to yourself.
