I haven't checked it. But I can't believe it lists all 554,883,882,008,728,000,000,000 possible draws. J
ur maths off. 8 seed is done. 1 each pot. exept euro cant got 2 same confed. that limits posibilitys by lot. for example no CONMEBALL team gona be Brazil or Argintina group
Um, and? The number here already has the possibilities limited by a lot - 99.9999999997891% of the possibilities are already excluded. J Did you send this message from an 8-year-olds text message machine.
It's a PHP Script. Choose your team, click the button and it runs the logic. So yes, it does list all possible draws. Coder-man to the rescue!
exactly its very simpel program, just use set of 8 array of 4 drawed from 4 array of 8, use loops, bunch of boolian IF TTHAN ELSE i aint gona argu ur math, its off.
the draw already took place just replace holland for france [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpuW4fTZSkc"]YouTube- Sorteo de Grupos Para el Mundial FIFA Sudafrica 2010 - En Vivo[/ame]
I think what he's talking about is not just any possible final group selection, but actual order of draws. In that case a draw like this: 'Group1:Netherlands,Algeria,South Korea,Serbia' 'Group2:Argentina,Paraguay,North Korea,Slovakia' 'Group3:Spain,Ghana,Australia,France' 'Group4:South Africa,Uruguay,Japan,Greece' 'Group5:England,Nigeria,USA,Switzerland' 'Group6:Italy,Ivory Coast,Honduras,Denmark' 'Group7:Brazil,Cameroon,Mexico,Slovenia' 'Group8:Germany,Chile,New Zealand,Portugal' would be different from a draw like this: 'Group2:Netherlands,Algeria,South Korea,Serbia' 'Group1:Argentina,Paraguay,North Korea,Slovakia' 'Group3:Spain,Ghana,Australia,France' 'Group4:South Africa,Uruguay,Japan,Greece' 'Group5:England,Nigeria,USA,Switzerland' 'Group6:Italy,Ivory Coast,Honduras,Denmark' 'Group7:Brazil,Cameroon,Mexico,Slovenia' 'Group8:Germany,Chile,New Zealand,Portugal' So you're not talking about the same possibilities (although I agree that most people only care about the teams in each group and not their numbers) Edit - He also includes the ordering of teams within each group, I imagine.
i dunno all his math erors. but i guess 1 error is he factoreal count group of A, B, C, D as diferent from A, C, B, D. A is seed and fix. order dont matter this case so A, B, C, D same as A, C, B, D. u gota use diffrent maths, cant do factoreal and divide by constant ether, theirs other pot criteria so constant dont work
Group A: Mexico, South Africa, France, Uruguay Group B: Nigeria, Argentina, Greece, South Korea Group C: England, United States, Slovenia, Algeria Group D: Germany, Ghana, Serbia, Australia Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Cameroon, Japan Group F: Italy, Slovakia, Paraguay, New Zealand Group G: Brazil, Cote D'Ivoire, Portugal, North Korea Group H: Spain, Chile, Switzerland, Honduras Round of Sixteen Mexico 1-2 Argentina (a.e.t.) Nigeria 0-0 South Africa (South Africa win on pens) England 1-0 Ghana Germany 3-2 United States (a.e.t.) Netherlands 2-0 Slovakia Italy 3-1 Denmark Brazil 4-3 Chile Spain 3-2 Cote D'Ivoire (a.e.t.) Quarter Finals Argentina 2-0 South Africa England 1-0 Germany Netherlands 2-1 Italy (a.e.t.) Brazil 1-1 Spain (Spain win on pens) Semi Finals Argentina 1-1 England (England win on pens) Netherlands 2-3 Spain (a.e.t.) Third Place Match Netherlands 3-1 Argentina Final England 1-2 Spain
Your brackets are wrong from QF on. In your scenario, it would be Arg v Eng, RSA v Ger, Hol v Bra, and Spa v Ita Then Arg/Eng v Hol/Bra and RSA/Ger v Spa/Ita Brazil and Spain can only meet in the knockout rounds in the Round of 16, or the finals. Same is true for any teams from adjacent (A/B, C/D, etc) groups. And you can only meet someone from your own group in the final.
