grosso cut inside against bresciano, why wouldnt he do the same vs Neil? Also you make it sound like it happened in slow motion. Why dont you count how many seconds there was between neil going down and grosso cutting inside. You cant even count one second. Easy to say in slow motion. You think Grosso can cut inside then jump out of the way all in one second?

Jumping? The highest point, Neils head, he already past between his legs. what do you think about just stepping over the boddy of Neil. He used the boddy of Neil as a hurdle to get down. He was looking to get the penalty with his left leg. Just step over it. Because of that I think it was a farce.

    Pool B:
    Brazil
    New Zealand
    South Korea
    Netherlands

    Pool C:
    Germany
    Ivory Coast
    Mexico
    Greece

    Pool D:
    Spain
    Honduras
    Japan

    North Korea

    Pool F:
    Italy
    Cameroon
    Paraguay

I'm usually pretty far out on these things, but at least it's a draw that could happen.

You need to swap either Portugal or Switzerland with either USA or Nth Korea for this to be a possible draw.

My scenario: Costa Rica and Bahrain win, making Pots 3 and 4 uneven at 7 and 9. United States, due to having the highest FIFA rating in Pot 4, is placed in Pot 3 with Chile, Paraguay and the 5 African sides.

Ireland, Bosnia, Russia and Ukraine win the other playoffs. Cameroon, Tunisia and Algeria win the final African spots.

My draw (using the random function on my high school calculator).

Group A: South Africa, Slovakia, Paraguay, South Korea
Group B: Italy, Ukraine, Ghana, Costa Rica
Group C: Germany, Switzerland, Cameroon, Japan
Group D: Brazil, Bosnia, Algeria, Honduras
Group E: Argentina, Russia, United States, Australia
Group F: Netherlands, Ireland, Tunisia, North Korea
Group G: England, Denmark, Chile, Bahrain
Group H: Spain, Serbia, Ivory Coast, Mexico

Group E: France, Serbia, Korea DPR, Cameroon
Group F: Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Tunisia
Group G: England, Switzerland, Korea Rep., Paraguay

hey it's possible...the russian's aren't seeded. also, holy shit nigeria just qualified! this might be a very, very special world cup for africa because there was a question as to whether or not all of their most talented teams will be there but so far it has been the case...now egypt and cameroon need to qualify and it will be quite possibly the deepest world cup field we've seen in a long time...save for north korea and new zealand.

I did not mean that it is impossible. I was commenting because Germany and Russia were together in the qualification group.

true. russia and/or netherlands are going to be two scary propositions for one of the seeded teams. throw in any of the strong african sides or usa/mexico and you have will have an opportunity for multiple groups of death!!

i would hold off on predicting russia will be there period

these effin' losers can never hold the lead. instead of a comfortable 3-0, they're taking a weak 2-1 win to the away leg and a 1-0 slovenia win will boot us out

    so disappointed :(

    slovenia's defense is insane

they'll play for the draw all game long with 11 men in the box and then put 4 strikers on the 82nd minute and push for the goal...and with russia's defense they will get it.

    reminds me of greece 2004

such SH*T football, but it works/wins.

i don't know how you look at a disadvantage, but going home, having one of best defensive records in qualifying and only needing 1 goal from the standards or a penalty kick to qualify....i'd rate those chances 55%russia 45%slovenia

hardly a disadvantage, kinda like an ACE-8 against KQ "All In".

slovenia doesn't exactly have an intimidating home field advantage, i'm sure there will be plenty of russians there as well. slovenia can play defense but they will also need to score. putting 4 strikers up front in the 82nd minute will also leave them very vulnerable for a russian counter-attack and they have the speed and skill to make slovenia pay.

Slovenia has to score and Russia is the better team and will make the game even away, so that's a disadvantage for me.
Of course it's not impossible to overcome, but Russia shouldn't be to worried as long as they don't just try to defend their lead.

don't overestimate russia. we have this wonderful ability to sh*t our pants when it comes time to defending the leads or playing for the draw, and as history shows.....it usually ends with tears for russia.

have you watched the CSKA Moscow - Man United game last week in Manchester?

yeah, pretty much just like that. especially when the back line is made up of CSKA Moscow.

My new random selections, with New Zealand, Nigeria and Cameroon in.

I'll assume the toughest possible draw this time, so Egypt, Uruguay, France, Portugal, Ukraine and Russia win their playoffs.

Group A: South Africa, Portugal, Paraguay, Mexico
Group B: England, Denmark, Ivory Coast, Honduras
Group C: Germany, Ukraine, Nigeria, United States
Group D: Italy, Slovakia, Ghana, New Zealand
Group E: Spain, Netherlands, Chile, North Korea
Group F: Brazil, Serbia, Cameroon, South Korea
Group G: France, Switzerland, Uruguay, Japan
Group H: Argentina, Russia, Egypt, Australia

This is one of the worst possible draws for South Africa. :D
