Bobby Wood scored 17 goals in 31 games when he was in B2, just saying. He was also around Hwang Hee-chan's current age at that time.

Best athlete in the KNT by a mile. Getting lots of minutes/goals/assists in front of 50k+ crowds can only be a good thing for him at this point in his career. I usually don't like KNT players moving to 2nd division teams, but HHC is still young and needs the reps. I think this was a smart move, at least for a season.

He reminds me so much of Julius Randle who used to play for the Lakers. Not a fan of low-IQ players in general but both Randle and HHC are guys that have a knack for making something happen using their athleticism. Randle frustrated every Laker fan for years with his boneheaded plays but finally blossomed last year, averaging an impressive 16 points and 8 rebounds. I've been skeptical of HHC but he's a guy that you can't be counted out. Just too good of an athlete.

Tbf, those who were following should know that HSV was a huuuuuuuge mess in the past few seasons.
The relegation did positively affect in the way that they re-organised the whole club and the new director of sports Ralf Becker and the manager Christian Titz who took over at the end of last season, seem very competent so far. There is a structure and peace that the club didn't have in years.

So, it's not easy to judge Bobby Wood just by his performances during his time at HSV, as players such as Papadopoulos, Kostic, Adler, Gregoritsch, Walae, etc. all played below their standards. Wood, along with many others have regressed a lot at a time where they should have developed, due to incompetent managers and lack of team chemistry.

Besides that, I agree that the BL2 league level is very low and I expect Hwang to have at least 10+ goals at the end of the season.

LOL! So apparently the club store is now offering HHC name and number printing/stitching for free upon order of base jersey.

Talk about trying to cash in on their new "Heung-min Son." That didn't take long eh?

    Starts as CF

edit: looks like he's having a free role. Whenever he goes right, Hunt moves to the top.

Poor defending by HSV, already 0-3 behind in HT1.

Good comparison! Both have always been called compared as "bulldog" type players with a lot of brawn/high motor in their young careers as well

He got some rest until 77 min, then came on as last HSV sub in a goalless draw in Fürth.

He is too fast for his own good. It will be difficult for him to efficiently control/dribble the ball only cause he is fast. I just hope he doesnt turn in the Korean Walcott.

He is still so raw. I want him to slow down and work on the technical aspect of the game. I said it so many times but it is so frustrating. He can be so good.

You can't improve your technical skills that much, especially if you start from a 5/10 like him. Being technically skilled is a natural thing, a gift...surely you can improve but the less technically gifted you are, the less you are going to improve.

Would imagine that better decision making would do him good.

LCY vs HHC both started and full bias but our boys looking the most lively and dangerous on both teams.

HHC had the best shot of the match so far saved.

Personal opinion but I hope Bento gives LCY a shot. I want him to end his NT career on a good note.
