That's one of the reasons. But the babyboomers don't have to go to or stay in any particular state. Florida, despite all the bad rap about the hurricanes, is obviously doing something right.
What would that be? And why is it a good thing that aging baby boomers are the ones pushing the state's population up? (I doubt they are the only reason, and wouldn't be suprised if they aren't the largest factor). Florida would be far better off without them. Thanks alot Jeb.
Jeb Bush's position on Schiavo is easily defendable; better to try to save a woman's life, as Jeb did, than rape her, as a prior Executive Office occupant did! It plays well in Red and Blue states!
Actually I was thinking more of his looking bad legally speaking trying to pass laws that weren't constitutional, etc. Then having the Fla. States Attorney say there was no evidence that Michael Schiavo did anything wrong so stop hounding him. Also, lets not forget that more than half of the country thought she should be allowed to die, and nearly three-quarters of it were upset with the government involvement.
What's wrong with attracting the babyboomers? Businesses around the world are trying to traget this affluent group, except Florida already has a nice share of this market locked up for itself.
A court ruled OJ was innocent and that Jaco did nothing wrong too! We all know the limitations of our failed Criminal Justice system!
Actually, not entirely. After the autopsy, Governor Jeb asked the state's attorney to look into whether or not the husband could have done something to her to cause her to collapse. Last week the state's attorney told the governor that there was absolutely nothing so Jeb announced the end of any and all Schiavo investigations.
