I need help making a life altering decision everyone...which Luis Figo jersey should I hunt down then frame on a wall?

    Euro 2000 home?

    Euro 2004 home?

    World Cup 2006 home?

All 3 have their merits: 2000 being Figo in his prime as WPOTY, 2004 being at home and a sensational tournament I feel so passionate about..yet it contains that bitter memory and the jersey dredges that up. 2006 was a World Cup semi final and his swansong.

What year was it that he scored that huge long distanced goal to mount the comeback against England ?

Toss up between Euro 00 and 04. Both beautiful jerseys. If I had to pick one, I'd probably choose Euro 2000. Can't go wrong with either though. Frame both! Lol

I would go with 2000 or 2006. 2004 still leaves a bad taste in my mouth as well as I like the look the least from those 3 tournaments. Between 2006 and 2000 I would give the very slight edge to 2006. Great looking kit and like how you said, his swansong.

Definitely Euro 2000. That was Figo at his best for Portugal.

2004 was when the next generation started surpassing him, plus the tournament began and ended in disaster, and in between he left the field entirely when subbed off vs. England down 1-0.

2006 he was no longer the same player, wasn't key to Portugal's success, and my lasting images of Figo are his sneaky headbutt vs. Netherlands and his header over the bar vs. France.

2002 seems to have been too traumatic for him to confront and he erased it from his memory.

Honestly can't blame him..I remember as a kid waking up at 3:30 am to watch the USA game, woke up half an hour late and couldn't believe the 3-0 scoreline. Had to turn the TV off and then turn it back on again.

Figo playing injured, Joao Pinto's infamous tackle...

Yeah I was 18-19 when WC 2002 happened. Ugh I was so confident that Portugal was going to do well in that tournament. Especially, after seeing how they did in Euro 2000.

Meant to say his last world cup and last jersey. I was starting with a different thought about only his last world cup kit or his 2004 jersey would be in contention for me but changed my statement
