From todays Washington Post.... United has begun poking around the league for help in a desperate attempt to avoid missing the playoffs for the third straight year. Among the possible candidates are Columbus's Dante Washington (52 goals and 29 assists in 7 seasons) and New England's Wolde Harris (45 goals and 29 assists in 6 seasons). But Hudson said he isn't very interested in Harris and doesn't think Columbus would be willing to give up Washington, who has six goals this year. Maybe at least Columbus told tehm that we wouldn't give up Dante for beans, which is all they may offer.
Or a sack of potatoes The Crew could get away with trading Dante, as they do have a top U-23 forward in Edson Buddle on the bench. If the Crew have embarrasing depth, it's at forward.
But would they give us Reyes or Convey? Dante might like moving closer to home to close out his career.
