Man United (from): Howard, Ricardo, Djemba-Djemba, Brown, O'Shea, Fortune, P Neville, Spector, McShane, Kleberson, Bellion, Fletcher, Miller, Saha, Van Nistelrooy, Giggs, Rooney, Pique, Eagles, Jones, Ebanks-Blake, Richardson, Rossi, Jones Rossi was recently handed a squad number, fueling speculation that he'll be making his senior debut in this match. No word yet on Spector or Howard, but if we're lucky we'll see one or both. Three "Yanks" (if you consider Rossi to be one) on the field at once for a Man United "first team" game (in the Careless Cup). Hey, I'm stretching... doesn't mean it wouldn't be cool. Match is at 3 PM ET. BBC will have a text-based match tracker, no word on radio right now.

Sorry, I guess I have missed this, but who is Rossi? I take it he is American. Anyway, it is good to see Howard getting another shot at starting. He made a couple blunders, but didn't deserve to lose his job. Sir Alec needs to remember who was keeper of the year last season.
nice rip... well, if my math is correct... not including the backup keeper, there's a 3/4 chance we'll see either rossi or spector..
Kid who was born and raised in America, moved to Italy when he was 13, and is now like 17 and transferred from the Parma youth system to Man United. He may never play for the US, considering he has been playing with Italian youth teams. But of course United have several Americans who may or may not be able to influence his decision. He's been a source of controversy on here with regards to whether he counts as a Yank, but we'll include him for now.
"TH trying to crawl his way back into the starting eleven" say the commentators, they also mention the article about him saying that he was a scapegoat, but they sympathize with him.
Depends on the probability you assign to ManU making zero, one, two, or three subs in the game. Not sure how you'd do that. Do all subs have an equal probability of coming into the game also? Barring injury it seems incredibly unlikely that Howard would be subbed. If that's true and ManU uses all three subs, at least one of Rossi/Spector will play. In any case, it does seem like there's a darn good chance one or both get on the field at some point.
actually if all 3 subs used and none are a keeper we have a 100% chance of seeing one and a 3/4 chance of seeing both. I doubt they keep a sub in pocket for this one.
How much longer will United fans put up with lethargic performances from their aging stars when the young guys are cruising through the Carling Cup?
