That wasn't the best description of the play. LC had a 70 yard long ball flicked on into the box that stretched the MU defense. Howard bolted out of net. Stewart played a hard chip over Howard but he jumped up and smacked it down. The rebound went straight to Bent and Neville (not Ferdinand) saved the ensuing shot about 6 yards out.

 

64; LC change keepers. Walker out for Coyne. Walker heads straight down the tunnel to have the physio look at his back.

 

68: Forlan 1 step offside otherwise we might have been looking at 5-0

 

73: LC corner. Izzet cross headed home by Sinclair.

Not a thing Howard could do about that. The cross was unreachable and Sinclair was unmarked.

 

Howard out to take a long LC cross off the head of Scowcroft.

That walk in the park just turned into a little bit of work.

 

79: Bent 18 yard curling shot beats Howard but rings off the crossbar.

 

LC seemed to have found a spark. Probably too liittle too late, but Howard's now got some work to do to keep his goals allowed at the ridiculously low level it's at now (.375 per game since the start of the regular season)

 

82: Dangerous Izzet cross cleared out of the six yard box by Neville.

Fletcher has had a quiet but solid game on the right. I sure miss Ronaldo though.

87. Izzet cross headed by Bent just as Howard parries. Neville shepards the ball out for a corner.

 

Who's marking Izzet? How many times have I typed his name in the last 10 minutes?

 

89: Long ball by LC. Howard charges out of the penalty area and heads the ball clear before Dickov can run onto it.

Commenator: "Could have been embarrassing for the American but handled well in the end by Howard"
