I'm all for tradition, but they killed, or tried to kill, the metro name on Saturday around 715. They gave the last of the Metro jerseys to some season ticket holders and probably locked them in a dark basement along with the jerseys.

Seriously, it's time to move on...and I can't believe that I think it is, but it is.

Are there any fans left who still refuse to call the Jets the Jets? LETS GO TITANS! At this point, they'd be rooting for Tennessee!

Actually, they gave the last two 2006 Metro jerseys to Metro season-ticket holders #1 and #2 for 10 years and counting. Frankly, I think it is an anticlimactic gesture. Regardless, I thought you might be interested in knowing that.

You told me that the distinction between actual corporate name and name derived from a corporate name was a distinction of our own making. I was simply pointing out in a succinct way that we are all stating our opinions here. Therefore, not only is my distinction of my own making, but your opinions are of your own making as well. You do not have divine insight into ultimate truth any more than any one of us who posts here.
