damn. apparently the game is also on espn deportes. i couldve asked a friend to record it. oh well.

we're looking fairly good after the first half. check out the link that Neovox provided in the Brazil preparation thread for full live discussion and highlights after the game.

im not sure of what changes to expect in the 2nd half. I would think Parreira would like to better analyze the Quarteto Magico. It's looked good so far, although I think our AMs are having some problems defending.

They are not even trying to defend.
    It's a shameful game.

We've slowed down a lot. I was gonna criticize the team here, but Ronaldo just scored again.

Our defense is looking pretty poor against this 2nd division swiss team.

you know things are going well when Lucio of all people scores. But seriously, what was he doing there. haha.

I expect some changes in the next 5 minutes or so. I think the starting line-up has shown itself to be very capable. I still want to see some more of Ronaldinho though. He's been rather quiet.

Edit: Looks like Ricardinho and Juninho are coming on for Ronaldinho and Kaka. Robinho is coming on too. Not sure for whom. I want to see Ronaldo and Robinho pair up, but my gut says we'll see Ronaldo yanked to preserve him for the next game. And, Edmilson is coming on.

And Japan is beating Germany 2 x 0. From the reports I am hearing they are simply outplaying the Germans.

Either Germany is that bad or we need to be really carefull with Japan.

My instinct is that Germany is just that bad. From all the Japanese people I've spoken to, they dont have a lot of confidence in their team. My dad also just came back from Japan yesterday. He said Zico was really getting a lot of heat from the Japanese media,

I wouldnt be surprised if he takes the spot of ZeRo. TerraTV or whatever, the webshow, was really emphasizing the importance of dead-ball plays. We need Juninho on as much as possible. With the goals per game being so low these days, this is a difference-maker.

I'd feel more comfortable with Juninho P. for Adriano/Ronaldo. He is not as good as a defender as ZeRo. Of course that would mean the square is broken. But I am not crazy about the square anyways.

It's only a friendly. Germany is not that good. Also, they don't have Ballack today. 1 x 2 Klose

It does make our team a bit more cohesive. We would have Ronaldinho playing more of a Rivaldo role like in 2002. It's still a good line-up, but I think this completely changes things for us. Im not sure if Parreira wants to make this drastic a change so late in the preparation.
