Basically my right foot is EVIL, and I mean I can shoot accurately from 30 yards and hit 40 yard passes up the pitch into feet. But my left foot isn't so good, I mean it's not bad, I can hit some decent shots and passes with it but it's not up to scratch. I can only seem to curl the ball with it and not hit it straight.

Does anyone have any advice on how to improve your weaker foot?

Just use it! Practice dribbling with just your left foot, quick short passing with it, long passing with it, shooting with it, juggling with it, throwing the ball high into the air and controlling it with your left, etc.

If you make a conscious effort to work on it you will get the results you're after.

My left foot(weaker foot) is poor and I have been juggling with it, its made me a better player. One of the reasons I couldn't juggle well was because of my left foot, I would juggle well with my right foot then my left foot would spoil it. After practicing with it I'm getting better day by day! Use it!

i would suggest going to a wall and just kick the ball off it and use whatever foot it comes to. that really helped me.

Why do you ask a question that you know the answer to?

You're probably taking a more acute angle in running up to the ball to kick it. Players often do this to hide an awkwardness with their weaker foot. You need to develop strength in kicking the ball with the outside of that weaker foot. Then you can normalize your angle of approach and kick the ball straight.

Thanks to all the replies I got and Greenday I wanted to know how other people did it as kdk suggested. I wouldn't have asked if I already knew the answer, that would be stupid.

Do what I did, use your left foot when it doesn't matter, make a mental note to use your left foot with simple passes or when you receive the ball unmarked and in a no-danger area. Eventually, you will gain the confidence to use it in more and more tighter situations of the game. :)
