Re: Houston Forum "Tagline" Don't forget. According to the media refugees is a politically incorect term. That being said...I was proud to be a refugee for a few days in the fine city of Houston .
Re: Houston Forum "Tagline" Yeah I thought about that but I figure that last part will piss off half the state of California so I might as well piss off another state while I'm at it.
Houston Forum Tagline Since there hasn't been an official announcement as to when the team name will be released, we need to figure out a temporary tagline for the forum. This will be the venue for such discussion and as long as there are no objections to the criteria, here are what I have come up with. 1. All nominations for a tagline will be posted here. 2. For any nomination to be considered in the final voting, it must be nominated by a poster other than the originator and then must be seconded by a 3rd poster. 3. All nominations must be submitted by 12 a.m. Monday morning. 4. At this point, all nominations will be placed in a poll that will stay open for another 5 days until Saturday at 12 a.m. where the winning tagline will be submitted to Jesse for approval. Of course, all winning taglines are subject to the Terms of Service of Bigsoccer and Jesse and the other moderators must approve of any tagline before it is granted to us. This thread and the votes are and unofficial way of the posters of the Houston forum to pick the tagline. Anyone with any suggestions/changes to the rules, please post them and we can consider these changes as we go along.
Re: Houston Forum Tagline I will nominate this one. Edit: Thanks for getting Houston's tagline up and running.
Re: Houston Forum "Tagline" Here's another tagline thrown out there by me. For the last time...the sweat just represents our hard work.
Re: Houston Forum Tagline Since it looks like the threads were merged, I'll second (or third?) this one. Not quite as mean (which is probably a good thing) but clever.
Re: Houston Forum Tagline chill. houston fans weren't out three lobbying for the earthquakes to move. most houston fans were expecting an expansion team to be put into houston. you'll get an expansion team in three years... and then you can direct your pithy posts to portland or seattle or whatever city steals your team.
Re: Houston Forum Tagline Excellent, Tom. But you don't want them telling the truth. Let 'em make up some screwy bullshot, so they can think they're right.
