Seattle did all they could and still lost to the timbers last night portland had 2 shots on target, 2 corners, less possession, less accuracy and still won the game 2-0 if seattle can't beat that at home....................how in the f@ck are we supposed to win??? PS at this point, im only going to the games to see if Jordan gets beheaded at half time
Portland is good at every facet of the sport. Their attack is potent and their defense is compact. They are good on set pieces and defending set pieces. And if anyone was enjoying the two games in MLS last night with FC Southern Oklahoma vs. Austin FC and then Portland beating Seattle on the road, well sports fans, our team is ripe for a beatdown. 0-3 by halftime! Could be a real bad day for our club in the history of home games in league play. Add in the fact that this is a huge global FIFA International window break and so many in town who might care will be watching the WCQ fixtures to relieve themselves of our current state of misery.
Portland doesn’t do well in Texas though for whatever reason. 4-1 L @ Dallas 2-2 D @houston 4-1 & 3-1 L @ Austin.
Players off on international duty for each team. HOUSTON: Carrasquilla (Panama) Ceren (El Salvador) Figueroa (Honduras) Boniek Garcia (Honduras) Lassiter (Costa Rica) PORTLAND: None listed. That seems odd but I don't find any listed.
https://www.houstondynamofc.com/new...ns-as-houston-dynamo-fc-host-portland-timbers Ramos is back to coach this game. Although only mentioned in the headline and not in the story at all. And other preview stuff.
We lost. The rebrand, as much as the new crest did not thrill many of us, the rebrand just might be the only damn highlight on the entire 2021 Season. Marinate on that! Oh, wait a second, Matt Jordan has been relieved of his duties at our club. That's the win for 2021. HA!
I'll be honest, I'm not sure how any coach can change these results with these players. How much more can the Dynamo be around the box, how many chances do they need? Statistically speaking a ball should have accidentally rolled into the goal.
Didn’t see a minute of it, but no way Segal can bring back Ramos when you only win 3 of 23 games to start a season.
The crowd shots looked terrible online and the announced crowd was under 9k so they didn’t even move many tickets for this game. Labor Day weekend, HS football, hot weather, yeah all factors but the turnout was pathetic. Was there 4k in the stands? That has to be jarring to Segal

Agreed that I don’t see how Segal can justify bringing Ramos back after consecutively turning in the two worst seasons in Dynamo history.
Ramos does need to perhaps return to a USSF coaching role. His line up decisions and lack of tactical adjustments demonstrates he is not what our needs moving forward. And I was turbo excited when he got here, now, uff, just time to move on and think everyone now knows this. Some of those posts are funny, some are a bit odd. A few are legit however.
I don’t blame them for giving him a try. Not a bad prospect to take a flier on, but just clearly has not worked out.
Because he is committed to being fair. Fairness says Ramos deserves at least one season without Jordan, if not two. Having said that -- I understand the sentiment. I just reserve ALL my sentiment for the USMNT especially those from my generation.
agree as i've said before (far too many times before)... it's about the Jimmies and Joes not the Xs and Os
I would love to know how many tickets they actually sold in the last 7 days leading up to this game vs. Portland. Just how many new ticket buyers decided to buy tickets in the last week before this game.
