vdVaart injured himself again today playing for HSV.
Its a muscle injury and he'll be out 3 weeks which means he'll miss both our qualifiers.

Looks like vBommel may be called up or perhaps Janssen may get a start

Robben and vd Vaart injured ? I think we lose two of the most creative players in our team.

It's only Luxembourg though. My pub team could beat Luxembourg. And Robben'll back for the Belarus game.

Never in a million years! I'm guessing a Sneijder-Schaars-Landzaat midfield.

Too bad VDV won't make it; my Man of the Match in the Ireland game. Not sad to see van Bommel dropped because(I know I had a billion arguments with Johan and Silver Bullet before), unless played in a free or attacking role, van Bommel will take balance away from our midfield, defensively speaking(it's been proved before in the WC and WCQ.) The two players I'd like to see added to the midfield mix are Maduro(maybe already there) and Davids. Landzaat is doing relatively better from what I've seen in the WC and Ireland game but I still prefer Davids or Maduro over him.

I would love to see Davids brought back, but don't count on it as Edgar slammed Van Basten right after the World Cup exit, and rightfully so.

Still we all know Marco wants nothing to do with any player with status, let alone one who talks out.

Edgar's services were seriously missed during the World Cup, and he could still add something, but unless VB gets the sack Edgar is done for Oranje.

Meanwhile Spurs supporters are begging Jol to drop Davids. You are aware of how rubbish he's been for them of late aren't you.

In my country's sportnewspaper Demy De Zeeuw called show a great performance like a senior player in this first two matches with AZ this seasons. I'm agree with VB, maybe VB needs to look any better combination in the midfielder. Maybe combination Sneijder - Schaars - Zeeuw in starter...

Sneijder isn't going because of his wife getting a baby.

    fuhk! Raffie hurt again?

BTW, we're starting to look like we're going to be pretty thin on creativity for these games - Luxembourg I'm not worried about but Belarus could make us drop some pts. Being at home for that game helps though

I just love how you, to your own liking, assert the opinions of thousands of supporters with no evidence whatsoever. Go to Spurs forums and see what they are saying about Davids. Check Skysports critics or any experts you like on the Spurs games this season or even better WATCH THE GAMES before you throw the word rubbish.

So how does everyone think the starting lineup will look like for these 2 matches??????

    I'm guessing something like this:

    vdSar
    Bouhla, Ooijer, Gio
Janssen, De Jong , Landzaat, Schaars
    vPersie, Huntelaar, Kuijt

Since we're playing subpar opponents I'd play a 3-4-3 formation for both matches
