If I pick up a friend, who is coming from Oakland on BART, which station closest to Spartan Stadium should I pick him up from? How far, in miles, would that station be from SS? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. That's what I thought. Is that about 15 miles away from SS?

Not sure how far but I would plan on at least 40 min from the Fremont BART Station to a parking lot near Spartan.

    From Fremont Bart:

-Exit the station to the south and make a left on Walnut (towards the hills)
-Make a right on Mission Blvd
-Go a few miles and go to 680 south
    -standard directions from there....

If we're talking about tonight yes. On a Saturday it's more in the 20 minute range.

Actually it's about 40 minutes from Fremont BART to Spartan on a Saturday. I use to live down the street from that station.

Really? I live 10-12 miles farther away and it doesn't take me 40 minutes. I guess getting to the freeway is too much of a pain.

Strangely enough, it does take about that long to get from Fremont to Spartan via 880/101. I live in Oakland and the trip to Spartan, on the weekend, is about an hour. The Oakland-Fremont leg takes far less than half of the total.

880 is a real b----. However, last Saturday was the first time I had been on it in a long time and it has improved with the widening.

If you're hitting traffic between Fremont and 101, I recommend cutting over to 680 at Mission Blvd.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give it a shot next time. 880 is just so unpredictable.

Yeah, 880 can get quite backed up. Especially in the stretch they are widening right now between Fremont and Milpitas, where there are only 3 lanes open, if you're going southbound. I always get caught there for a good 15-20 minutes.

I will have to try the 680 suggestion. Thanks Noah!
