I just listened to that MPF song...you have got to be friggin' kidding me. That is pure comedy gold!!! You know all of the supporters' clubs have to abuse it. Barras, Eagles, and fellow Norteños, we must coordinate on Saturday to find a way to mock the hell out of that song in unison.
They were so bad, I'm SURE they had to contain a virus, anything THAT bad surely MUST be infected. Deleted from my hard drive, hope it wasn't too late...
Trivia Question: What does this photo and the Metro's playoffs chances have in common? Punchline.... wait for it...... wait for it......... They are all dead!!!! ahahahaha! p.s. I see they still couldnt find a picture of even a half FULL stadium...
Priceless...... I think we need to have a bunch of us write to the Metro front office and tell them we think the marketing idea is brilliant, and because of it we will go to the game. Of course, this is done in the hopes that they will continue to market the team in this insane way.....opening the door for countless future opportunities for mocking and humor. Can you imagine how much fun we could have with this kind of stuff over an entire season!!!
No... By the look of this "advertising" campaign I would say its a safe bet they now have a decent idea what department Decepticon Lazerdik's leaks are coming from...
Maybe this whole "MPF campaign" is just Metrostars spreading disinformation, attempting to 'out' Deceptikon. Because it sure can't be a REAL marketing campaign!
I don't believe it. There is no way in hell this is actually a real marketing campaign. No Way. It is not possible that something is this incredibly horribly exhaustingly excruciatingly hilarious. It makes the crap on the Riverhounds site pale in comparison. Tim Got MPF? Try an ointment.
Ok, I'll apologize in advance if my Ironometer is stuck on "humorless" again, but all of this MPF stuff is a send up, yes? They aren't real ads?
Those pictures must've been taken from the MetroStars annual "Meet The Team And Watch Them Get Tanked And Look Stupid Day". Mark Lisi's trying to look hard...thank god he's not doing that in any DCU-affiliated photos. What a tool.
1. It's hard to look tough when you're hanging with Wolyneic. 2. There's one picture with a kid that has a caption listing 3 Devils players. 3. They couldn't even bother to update some of the pictures to specify which home date they had. 4. I'm guessing they didn't get any of the liscences from the Bogarts, Monroes, or Sinatras. 5. Metal Mike. No comment neccesary.
Actually, the idea is Brilliant. All jokes aside. I laughed at it at first, but now that I think about it, it's brilliant. It targets a new crowd and can only be successful if they promote/adv heavily. None of us are new to the league, so obviously we will laugh at such an approach. Besides, what are we laughing at? We have a marketing directer who tries to target a crowd that commits almost 70% of the crimes done by latinos.
Clearly DC United has missed the boat on this one! Quick...Everybody submit your pictures so we can start our own campaign! DPF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
