help me choos a book

    and
    silas marner

    jeezis, is this a Dickens class? Any chance you could slip in "Great Expectations." It's far more tolerable.

    its a list of 18, but the other ones are just not speaking to me, including hemingway... god, I hate him

    read it in high school, not on the list for the class anyway. Its pretty good, actually, I agree.

    I was thinking about trying to convince the prof to let me read a different classic book thats not on the list(right now I'm on an existentialist kick), but I figure I should prolly read some of these, too.
