We sit on the quiet side (possibly the best seats in the stadium...woohoo!) and I wish we could see more smoke bombs on our side. My dad stopped bringing his drum, my wife "lost" my horn, and the family section, which should be over by the south goal western corner, seems to be expanding northward. Sigh. It's hard being the only two people trying to sing "vamos United"....
what she said...LOL felines Did we win Saturday? Was it a beautiful evening? Did you like being part of the DC crowd? Why the heck is everyone fighting?
Okay, question for all you SE/Barra folk: My family sits on the quiet side, but I want to give our tickets to friends for a game or two, and take my 10 year-old daughter and get tickets in one of the supporters' sections. I fiugure I'll end up joining one or both, but wanted to spend some in the Barra/Nest first. Anyway, my question is this - I am not concerned with smoke, cursing, or flying beer - hell she gets those on a regular basis just living with me (well maybe not the smoke, except that time I put aluminum foil in the microwave . . .) - but she does like to actually watch the game, and I was wondering if, with everybody standing, there would be a spot where she could actually see, or maybe she could just stand on her seat. Any advice would be much appreciated, and if there is any other reason I maybe should not bring her, please let me know. Thanks.
That's why you usually see the wee ones in the front row. Sect. 136 or 133 might be the best place to start, unless you want to be in the center of the action along the aisle between 134 and 135. If you plan on standing near the drums, bring earplugs for your daughter. GM
you could probably sit in the first or second row of sec 134 or the one to the left of that... isn't that the barra 'family section'? still loud.. still smoke, but not as much as 135
Email the SE ticket mistress at tickets@screaming-eagles.com and she can best advise (like maybe an aisle seat?) K
To the left of 134 (if you're facing 134 from the field) are 133 and 132, both of which are Eagles sections - 132 would be our family section if we could be said to have one. The Barra definitely has 136 and I think they have 137 too, both to the right of 135. I would presume that, just like us, the section they have furthest away from the mayhem would count as a "family section".
Also, be sure to drop by the tailgate before the game. There are plenty of kids there for your daughter to play with.
137 would be better as far as Barra if you are little, whole 136 was actually standing last game and due to effors of Pedro and few others guys standing there they were singing too *wipes tear* Then again you can move within our sections and find spot you like.
Vicky and I moved to 136 for this year so she could see the match. If someone is gonna try out the Barra, sitting there is the place to start off. Pedro, myself and others are getting that section to join the singing. Not alot of smoke. That pretty much stays in 135. I'd say try both the Eagles and Barra tailgates/sections and see which suits you. You'd be welcome at both.
Absolutely. I've got my family hooked on tailgating in Lot 8 (although we've only been able to make one game so far this season). It's a lot of fun, and very kid-friendly.
I have a little blues song for the campfire...it's called "I Hate You Guys". (harmonica) I hate you guys (harmonica) You guys are assholes (harmonica) Especially Kenny (harmonica) I hate him the most Come on - you guys sing it too!
You so much as TOUCH kitty's ass, and I'll put a firecracker in your nutsack and blow your balls all over your pants
