https://www.skysports.com/football/...tions-after-missing-fa-cup-clash-with-newport probably a fine if i had to guess. unfortunately for Rashford this will further convince people about his night out after the derby - i.e. that he doesn't care (not because of his birthday)
Several of the journos who closely follow us think this goes much deeper. Apparently his body language around Carrington and OT has been off since the summer. They speculate he's struggling mentally with some off field issues and all this behavior are symptoms. It's out of character over a 5 to 10 year time horizon for him.
it's funny how many people describe him as this incredible talent. he's not. he's fast and not very clever. and fast is common. not sure if stuff like that has inflated his ego along with the Southgate effect
Whilst some degree of poor behaviour from young guys is to be expected, it seems to be an extra level of emotional immaturity with a number of our players including Rashford. Rashford has broken with his long-term girlfriend again and is behaving like a twat. Sancho and Greenwood we all know the stories there. Antony too. Garnacho also for a brief period. We need to break this cycle by taking more care going forward with our recruitement. Is bad enough being mugged off as fans by the owners, even worse somehow when a number of the players are mugging us off with their antics too.
If the PSG interest is real and substantial we need to sell. Would be killer in helping us with FFP too - as any income from the sale counts as pure profit given he was an academy product.
1000%. We've seen the best season Rashford will have. And even if he has another spike year like 22/23, it'll be sandwiched by terrible seasons because that's just the player he is. If we can sell him to PSG for 80-100 mil because they believe he's the blip season player, we should. Like you said, it gives us more FFP wiggle room and offloading his 350k/week salary would also be huge. I don't think it happens because the average United fan thinks he's elite and he's a homegrown guy. It would be a bad look for the new owners to sell their biggest asset...even though it would be the right move. It's the same reason we won't bring back Greenwood. Optics matter. I would be all for us offloading Rashford, Casemiro, Varane, and a whole host of other big names this summer and starting a rebuild based off good scouting of young, high potential players to develop our new base. Of the current squad, build around Hojlund, Garnacho, Mainoo, Martinez, Bruno.
Can we ********ing sling this guy already? Im so sick of his laziness, pouting, and general not giving a shit about the team. I’m done with him.
glad someone finally called out the laziness, really wish they'd stop with the incredible talent / world class crap
to be fair to Rashford he's come up with some tremendous finishes in recent big away games. iirc that is now Arsenal ×2, city ×1 and Tottenham ×1. even though we lost those games anyway, others need to step up. he can't keep doing that forever and clearly we can't keep trying to bunker
When there is space to run into he can be devastating. Unfortunately that is just a minority of our games. Plus side, he is doing a great job of shop-windowing himself for a summer sale to somebody such as PSG with money to burn
I'm not sure he's lazy. He looks withdrawn, lacking motivation, and burned out from last season. Unlike Bruno, he's not willing to find that extra gear, but Bruno's play has also suffered from burnout. Ten Hag for me is a football guy, but not people person. He can't deal with player problems off the pitch. This is why he's hit a wall trying to get more out of Rash IMO. I think all these guys (Antony, Mason, Rash and even Sancho) are having problems because they don't have a woman keeping them right in the head.
Rashford: "Don’t question my commitment to Manchester United."pic.twitter.com/5ZmtECEEgp— Troll Football (@TrollFootball) April 5, 2024
https://www.skysports.com/football/...-for-a-few-weeks-after-injury-against-chelsea not a new idea but thought i'd post since Rooney generally doesn't comment on United like that. maybe he knows something we don't
Others have said same thing. Keane said there is something 'amiss' and he is not happy. Nev said he is 'worried' about him and he doesn't look happy. Rio said he may have to leave to reignite his career. Maybe not surrounded by the right people is the rumour. In response his brother and agent had this weird response; https://talksport.com/football/1814498/marcus-rashford-agent-gary-neville-roy-keane/
Laurie Whitwell and Andy Mitten have been saying for months and months Rashford looks miserable around Carrington and OT, even when the cameras are off. His body language has been super negative since around August they claim.
Is it his girlfriend? Man booked venues and all last time he thought they would elope. I hope nothing darker.
That's the rumor, but few know for certain. When those two say something, you know something up as they see the players in person more than all the other journos combined.
He’s not happy? We’re the ones that have to watch him suck every week and give zero effort. Meanwhile he’s getting rich while in form that would get him into Lutons 11. ******** if he’s happy or not. Produce or ship the ******** out.
Van Basten had to say about Rashford against Coventry: https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...rcus-rashford-something-unbelievable-29045754
