Why he’d leave? Bigger wages at Chelsea. More likely to win a title even if their currently above us in the standings.

Why they’d sell? His price is all time high even with COVID. If they feel that they can get other just as good players for cheaper they can build the squad depth off his sale going into next year where they’ll be facing multiple comps. If they sell I bet the do everything they can to go get Jamal Lewis.

I do think he’s an upgrade and there’s room for growth at 23 but I’m weary of the price. LB is hard to fill. There’s a few good young options that I like but it’s a gamble and we already have a very very young team. At 23 Chillwell is young enough but also still a vet in comparison to many of our other key players. He’s also experienced in the league which is important.

What exactly does a deal agreed in 'Prinicple' mean, why is it different to the usual ' a deal has been agreed'? What It means is there is no agreement with the player but an acceptable offer has been made and accepted by the club. Chelsea have permission to speak with Werner.

Deal could still be hijacked by Man Utd, Liverpool or Bayern.
