Anyone down for a CL away trip? It'd probably not be very cheap, but it would be fun to look into and if there's a possibility of cheap Mexican whores and Tequila.....

Can we also adjust to include US Nat games? :)

The part that sucks is that I'd love to do a trip, especially in the first stage where we could have the chance to go to Honduras/Guatemala/Belize, etc. But we won't even know till the end of July for the draw, and then putting a trip together within a month is going to be a pain.

What's going on with weeks 16 and 17? Is that SuperLiga or something? My birthday falls in that time and I would have probably gone to a game around the 18th if they were home.

Interesting (to me, anyway) that the schedule is 31 weeks long. It's been 29 for the last few seasons.

As far as road trip goes...this schedule sucks bigtime!~:(

Possible road trips for me....in order of course!

    1. July 4 - L.A. Galaxy
    2. Aug 16 - San Jose
    3. Sept. 20 - Colorado
    4. Aug 23 - Toronto

Of course I'll be driving down to Jersey...but I hardly consider that a road trip!:p

As far as tickets for LA away go, don't the teams have to hold a certain number for away travelling support?? I'm sure we could get some help from the Revs FO on this no??

I hope they dont try to make people buy tickets to 4 games just to see him like they did last year. Karma will make sure he's hurt again.

I hope to see some of you in Colorado on September 20th! As I said in my blog I hope the Revs bring the second best fans in the league with them (What, you really think I was going to rank you over my fellow Rapids fans? ;) ).

Added in the second round matchups above.

BTW, Dominica tied at home against Barbados last night. They play at Barbados at the end of March. US @ Barbados, that would be fun! :D

I can't find the dates of the group stage of the CONCACAF qualifying.

Just a few observations. The biggest of all: we only play NY twice!

Well, it was more like 2 months in advance since they announced the first couple of fixtures a while back,

FYi… 6-7 weeks is normal for football leagues around the world. I think its plenty of time. It’s not like the old days when buying an airline ticket 2 weeks in advance was a lot more expensive than buying one 3 months in advance. TBH, I’m baffled as to why anyone would need (or even WANT) to plan a trip so far in advance!?

I've added a composite schedule thread to keep the full schedule available to everyone. If anyone sees a mistake, please let me know.

Edit: We play two games against everyone but the following four teams that we play three times: Chicago (2 home, 1 away), DC (2/1), KC (1/2) and Crew (1/2).

    $$$

More time to hunt for bargains, find stuff to do, and save up for the trip.

Exactly. Especially if you're trying to do something where you've got a group of people who want to go.

I'm in for the NY road trip, the Toronto trip, the away match in Colorado (Jeff has family out there), and possibly the Columbus match.

I would love to watch the Revs in the Champions League somewhere tropical but that may be out of my price range.

So, we only play one game in July, then have to play 6 league matches and 1 CCL match in August?

We play SuperLiga in July. Which I am rather excited for. The Mexicans will be totally out of their element up here.

Its reported on MLSnet that we're one of the squads included in the tourney. No comment on location of these games but you've got to figure they'll play at gillette, especially against the bigger Mexican sides.

The players certainly talk as if it is a done deal.

    http://www.boston.com/sports/soccer/articles/2008/02/07/revolution_focus_on_cup/

"We joke about it, because the Superliga [in July and August] will have more money," midfielder Shalrie Joseph said yesterday. "But our goal is to win the MLS Cup. We've been to the MLS Cup four times and we want to win it this year."

I am under the impression that there are no home games in SuperLiga - last year it was all US, this year all Mexico. I didn't pay much attention to it last year, so I may be completely out to lunch.
