The second game will pretty much be irrelevant after the Hounds drop a 4-spot on the Isles in the first leg. fixed your post
All I have to say is that, barring an injury, Pittsburgh is taking it all. I've never seen a team so easily manhandle another respectable team in such a manner. The shakiest part of the Pittsburgh squad was the Hound defense that was probably falling asleep due to lack of significant work, and even the D looked great. The midfield seemed dominant. Props to Pittsburgh, they look first class!
They dominated over the entire field. Harrisburg rarely looked dangerous on attack. We'll probably see some improvement next year.
I have to agree as i cant see any team keeping up with us, although i hear Utah is good. sounds like you had some bad weather. I guess il let you know how the game turns out tonight? anyone making the trip
All in all not a bad first year for the Isles. They made the playoffs and established a solid foundation of fan support. Now the task at hand is to maintain that level of support and build on it. I expect there will be a good deal of turnover as far as the roster goes. Certainly Korol belongs in the A-League and won't be returning. It'll be interesting to follow the changes the team makes, although that's probably a ways down the road. What they should get to work on right away is improving the stadium and the field. Side anecdote: About two weeks ago I was in the Philly airport and I saw a young girl wearing a City Islanders jersey.
You all have been a pleasure to have in this forum....keeping it lively all season. I thoroughly enjoyed reading everything, and visiting the facility when Westchester was in town. Harrisburg is a great organization, and I look forward to even better things from you in the future.
