Hamas Attacks, Israel Responds

From a first read this sounds like a large version of a suicide attack. Hamas have very limited capability,.

 

I read the attack as being by people who are desperate and alone. They know it's a no hoper, but they are so deeply in despair that the prospect of failure doesn't matter. They just want to do something.

Those missiles Hamas used were fairly high tech.
The only country that can (and is willing) to supply those is Iran

 

That would put this MASSIVE (and uncharacteristic) intelligence failure in a different light.

Also this happened like a month ago. An operation this size will have been planned and prepared for much longer than that. So however one might feel about the unfreezing of those assets, it is very very unlikely it had any direct impact on this attack.
