From a first read this sounds like a large version of a suicide attack. Hamas have very limited capability,.

Yeah it won't end well for Hamas. But smashing Israel in the nose is mostly the point. Negotiations have gone nowhere.

Read that the Egyptians said Hezbollah might enter the chat from the north.

I read the attack as being by people who are desperate and alone. They know it's a no hoper, but they are so deeply in despair that the prospect of failure doesn't matter. They just want to do something.

The Yank news is still only reporting on the strikes in Israel on Israelis, even though the death count among Palestinians is much higher.

Netanyahu’s Israel is a bad actor in the world. I feel bad for the citizens, the normies, on each side. I can’t find it within myself to root for one side over the other.

Also, some comparing it to the 1973 war. Hyperbole through the roof.
Maybe it works. Biden got on his knees pretty quick this morning

Dozens of Israeli hostages taken, both civilians and military. Some taken back to Palestine side of the line.

This won't end well for Hamas.

I wouldn't put it past Netanyahu to pretend he didn't know this was coming. Just so he can have an excuse to retaliate, kick ass and take attention away from his power-grabbing shenanigans he has been engaging in lately.

Please tell us about that “handing over.” Because every time Fox News made this argument in the past, the US was merely returning seized assets. I’m betting it’s the same this time, but if I’m wrong, I’m willing to listen.

Is CNN left-wing enough for you??

    https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/18/politics/iran-money-explainer/index.html

Those missiles Hamas used were fairly high tech.
The only country that can (and is willing) to supply those is Iran

That would put this MASSIVE (and uncharacteristic) intelligence failure in a different light.

Lots of attacks via drones....new kind of warfare.

Some videos are hard to post. There will be so much death. I can't believe Israeli intelligence was this blind. So many women hostages.

It is difficult to believe, especially with a well-known "peacenik" like Netanyahu as President.

Also this happened like a month ago. An operation this size will have been planned and prepared for much longer than that. So however one might feel about the unfreezing of those assets, it is very very unlikely it had any direct impact on this attack.

Yes it is! And I'm right!

"The money made accessible to Iran as a part of the deal are Iranian funds that have been held in restricted South Korean accounts."
