    No kidding. What a great class.

    Of course, winning the Cup with the Rangers capped his career, but I remember seeing Messier play a game in NJ when he was with the Oilers, the year after Gretzky had left them, and I'd had this impression beforehand of him being Gretzy's "sidekick" and sort of felt like it was too bad I'm not going to see Gretzky play. And Messier was simply awesome. He dominated that game. That definitely opened my eyes that night.

    They had a little ceremony at the ACC in Toronto before the Leafs/Rangers game on Saturday and all the players came out to the ice. It was a very nice ceremony and it also celebrated remembrance day.

    Messier looked like he had a tear in his eye...all these players that i grew up watching are slowly retiring...getting old lol
