A little early for that, but losing your first game, at home is boardering on disaster.

Yeah but this was their easiest game. Now they have Suriname away and then Costa Rica and El Salvador twice each. There's a fat lady singing somewhere!

As long as they don't involve any teams that border Mexico, surprises are fine by me.

Why does FIFA still have Suriname winning 2-1 with the game over?

Horrible horrible game by Haiti. We managed to come back in the final minutes but still..this just have been an easy win. We have a scoring problem...at least 9 clear open net style scoring chances. I'll take the 1pt under the circumstances and hope for reinforcement for the next 2 games.

Hard to say if Suriname is bummed out by the late equalizer from Haiti, or if they are more than satisfied with this result. Overall, I think they'll take 1 point gladly, but this is their third straight match against similar opposition where they gave up a late goal that forced them to end with a draw. Still, these matches were away from the friendly confines of Kampferveen Stadium, so that's got to make them feel good, but oh, what might have been! If they play this well in a couple of weeks at Saprissa, this group could be wide open. I guess they don't call Suriname "The Big Wild" for nothing :D!

No my friend...if Suriname plays that way at Saprissa they will lose. Haiti created so many chances its incredible. Our lack of a true striker cost us the 3 pts. Any team with a good striker will beat Suriname pretty easily if they play like yesterday..believe me.

The forwards are being blamed for not finish the plays. You cant miss 10-15 clear chances in a game and expect to win.

    Re: Haiti - Suriname (Aug 20) - [R]

Yes Noel was playing as a forward along with Ricardo Pierre Louis of the Colombus crew. He disapointed me alot, he is normally a good scorer. Noel..we are used to him missing clear chances. It happened in both games against the NA. I would not sit them out, but Noel needs to play as a midfielder not a striker. Pierre Louis I would give him another chance. We have a guy called Abel Thermeus that we think can be the goal scorer we are looking for...he couldnt make it yesterday because he is in tryout with Udinese from Serie A. Were also looking at a couple of other options. We are really missing Peguero man. With a true finisher...mark my words...it will be very very hard to beat this Haitian team.

kicking ass they were not! They were lucky to come out with 1 point in that game. It was more about Haiti missing many goal chances than Suriname playing well.

I guess it was Haiti's lack of accuracy in front of goal that led to Surinames two goals aswell, right
