Guzan & Lichaj start. Already 1-0 CFC, Torres with a beautiful headed goal.

Lichaj starts on the left, Guzan in goal. Torres scores on a thundering 18 yard header top left corner, Guzan had no chance. Lichaj not really involved, early cross in, great header. Just a great play.

Mods, you can merge the two or kick mine out, no big deal. Jamooky is the russian mail order bride patron saint after all.

Guzan and Lichaj start in a 5-3-2 funky lineup.

Unfortunately, those three CBs hasn't helped them thus far...Torres scored off a header at the 3' mark.

    1-0 Chelsea 6'

Villa look like a suburban high school team with a Nigerian exchange student up top.

Bob Morocco and Fanatical Monk repped this.

Going to be interesting, Lambert wont be fooling Benitez with that 3-5-2, those wingbacks will find themselves under extreme pressure by superior players and when they lose the battle, Chelsea will break at full pace.

Say this for Aston Villa, they dont stop running and they dont stop pressuring the ball. If nothing else, Chelsea will have to work 90minutes.

    Thanks for the merge!

How long has Luiz been in mid-field for Chelsea? How's he looked?

He hasn't looked great. His timing is off and he just had what I would term a yellow card tackle that wasnt called.

Lichaj will be battling Moses all match. A pretty good match up for him, pace and size, but not too much guile.

This is the best I've seen Chelsea play in perhaps 4 years. The defensive form of Dimatteo with the possession and passing of AvB and the knife thrust of Jose. Let's see how it ends. Ivanovic adn Cahill have looked shaky early.

    shoot, 2-0 Chelsea.

Luis with a good free kick. Over the bar, dips. Wall failed guzan there.

Villa working hard, but Chelsea has quality, discipline and motivation. Just no chance.

Herd never should have dove in and fouled Hazard to set up that FK. Naive defending on his part. Lichaj's been fine thus far.

Villa are playing pretty well for a tough away game, they just have conceded a couple of very good goals.

Chelsea should be looking to put up a crooked number.

Comparing the ladies in the stands for Chelsea vs. ManU lady fans, makes you realize, London > Manchester.

Herd with another useless foul on Hazard.

Villa growing frustrated. A bit like the ManCity loss, really dont deserve to be 3 down, but just not their day.

Guzan not to blame for either goal, but damn is he short. Doesnt help him.

Licaj playing ok, getting forward early in the 2nd. Nice touches, 1 bad giveaway. Overall ok.
