Pablo Melgar might also leave to play in Chile or Argentina, and I also heard Hernan Sandoval might be leaving as well.

Sandoval played the first friendly against Jamaica earlier this year. He sucked , he missed like 2 clear goals, but he's been doing good in league play, with his club Antigua GFC.

Freddy William Thompson podría emigrar de Guatemala

    Oct 31, 2005

An Italian-Guatemalan U-15 player playing in Germany for Eintracht. His dad is Italian but his mother is Guatemalan. He dreams to play for Inter or fro the Italian or Guatemalan National team. His name is Stefano Cincotta

I got my money on the 19 yr old Jasón emmanuel salguero who is a norwegian citzen with Guatemalan parents ,thinking to acquire his guatemalan citzenship .we need a mid playmaker i heard he is Martin Machon like just prolific in the mid ,threads world class passes in the norwegien youth system , he currently doesn't have a team. it would be good to see him in Municipal and show chalo how to do it machon style , but i doubt it , maybe MLS?

i heard about him through an article in a euro football mag .no link sorry

i know we got lots chapines in europe who are be inspired by ruiz, to play for their parents homeland, its good to have players part of other better infastrucure than guatemala or USA wanting to bring their football to the the table

I think its great that we have this players coming out in Europe and the United States but I wouldnt like them to play in the Guatemalan league, I would prefer them to stay and find a team in Europe even in a second division that would help out the national team alot, if we had a big number then it would help our local league but right now what we need is for our players to get out more even if its to the MLS.

Iam glad Thompson has the chance to leave, hes a good player but needs to go out and South America is the best place to go, I think our players should look to South America even if its in Peru or Ecuador the teams get to play libertadores, sudamericana and have a higher competition level.

I think FC Litex Lovech is one of the best in Bulgaria , after CSKA Sofia and Levski Sofia. Cobreloa from Chile is also interested. Hopefully this is true unlike the other rumors that never become truth.

Not sure how good that team is and how good the bulgarian league is but I know that CSKA and Levski Sofia have played in the Champions League on a regular basis.

Trinidad and Tobago had a player in Bulgaria in 2001 that played for Levski Sofia, but he never did well there. Good luck to Melgar if he does end up there. If he gets into the champions League or uefa with that team, it will be priceless experience for Guate. :)

    Luis Swisher Salguero

has offers from other teams in europe

    http://www.lared.com.gt/internaCont.asp?idc=63275&id_cat=214

looks like he is going to make the move in january assuming the season is over around that time im not familar with the polish league format?

Any way, i wonder what team is interested in A small guatemalan Centre back?

swisher was always good , im happy for him, now he is moving on euro football, hope fully to a much better league maybe greece or belgium?

he proved he can play in poland and was a constant starter, compare to others abroad from guatemala, so im assuming he can cut it in another euro team. any thoughts on swisher possibly going to another euro team?
