It's a joke. Every 28th of December it's the jokes day in Spain and every newspaper tells one.

Marca says that Florentino Pérez has signed Fernando Alonso, the F1 world champion.

Anyway it's unbelievable :D , if Guardiola came to retire to Madrid he could never come back to Barcelona.

    Iberian, inocente ;)

Edit: for God's sake, the piece is signed by Tomás Guasch.

I wouldn't mind, though. Guardiola and Keane at age 40 would be a better pair than what we have now for sure.

Lo de Floro si me parece una inocentada... que mal rollo, ufff

The funny part about this inocente joke is that this buy would actually make more sense than the ones Real are currently doing. Sure he is old as hell, but at least he's a midfielder that can pass the ball, something Real so obviously lack. But hey, if Florentino wants a right back who can't defend and a bastard child striker who isn't good enough for Roma, who am I to argue.

Real Madrid stunner: Butragueno pushes Guardiola
    tribalfootball.com - December 28, 2005

Real Madrid are considering a shock move for former Barcelona captain Pep Guardiola.

The club's vice-president Emilio Butragueno is pushing for the deal as he is convinced Guardiola, now 35, is the midfield general Real currently lack.

Guardiola has agreed a deal with Mexican club Dorados de Cualicán, but Real president Florentino Perez is understood to be coming round to Butragueno's way of thinking and told AS yesterday: "It is conceivable that Guardiola will retire in Madrid."

Real captain Raul is close friends with Guardiola and remarked: "With Pep controlling the field, Beckham, with his fight and honesty, the class of Zidane and the football nous and discipline of Guti, we will improve."

The title of the thread has "inocentada" written all over it. :D
What's tribalfootball.com's excuse the other 364 days of the year?
That's true, but Dorados' hometown is misspelled, it's Culiacán.

I hope you're around when Cicinho play better than Salgado and Cassano starts scoring goals unlike Raul.

Just stick around for a month or two and then i'll remind you of this.

The only thing keeping Cassano from being the next Nicolas Anelka is the fact that we're not paying nearly as much for him as we did for Le Petit Nicolas. I have some severe doubts about him.

Don't worry. Right now I wouldn't miss a Real game for anything (even a Barca one). Salgado is not your problem, IMO, and trying to replace this kind of player with another brazilian (when you already have rumours about brazilian groupings within the squad), can only add to the fun from my point of view.

I admit I know little of Cassano's qualities because I don't watch Serie A, but since he has been benched at Roma in favour of guys like Montella and Nonda, I kinda doubt he'll set La Liga on fire. And that's not even mentioning the fact that the guy obviously has a screw loose, and seems unfit to play team sports.

Their forum is so banal that they spend the majority of their time in our forum. When RM plays well again & FCB hits a rough patch, maybe the situation will reverse.
