And I sense that may be a Bosphorus Bridge too far, but your optimism is always welcome.

I've put up a temporary thread title but given the interest, let's run a poll thread. Have I missed anything?
    • Yedlin at Galatasaray: Once Upon a Bosphorus.
    • Pass the Turkey: Yedlin at Galatasaray.
    • It was Tyne to leave Toon: Yedlin joins Galatasaray
    • Turkish DeLight: Yedlin at Galatasaray
    • Still Technically in Europe: DeAndre Yedlin at Galatasaray S.K.
    • Galatasaray Back Yedlin, Newcastle Back-Pedalin'
    • Turnkey in Turkey: DeAndre Yedlin at Galatasaray
    • Straight A's for DeAndre: Yedlin at Galatasaray
    • Oh yeah, what's your middle name? DeAndre Roselle Yedlin at Galatasaray
    • Bossing the Bosporus: DeAndre Yedlin at Galatasaray S.K.
    • DeAndre Yedlin @ Galatasaray

So many great options! It'd be great if we could have a top 3 vote and narrow it.

Yeah but make sure it's Turkish DeLight: DeAndre Yedlin at Galatasaray, so the "De" matches the first name ;)

@bungadiri This one is great (and popular), so worth adding to your list - works well with the name front or back:

DeAndre Yedlin: Guardian of the Galatasaray, or

Guardian of the Galatasaray: DeAndre Yedlin

As I feel his middle name is too great to pass up, I would add it:

DeAndre Roselle Yedlin: Guardian of the Galatasaray, or

Guardian of the Galatasaray: DeAndre Roselle Yedlin

O/T but his mother's ancestry is Latvian right? Talk about random. Kinda wonder if they were ever interested in capping him years ago.

Wailing away on the wall on the strand: Yedlin dances to the Turkish song of Damned (in Galatasaray...)

I just learned that Galatasaray own a small islet in the Bosphorus... Hope he does not get Elba-ed.

Yedlin's family didn't even find out about the Latvian passport eligibility, let alone get the passport, till long after he was cap-tied to the US.

The idea of Yedlin turning out for Latvia is very, very amusing

Oh it totally did make it. I just missed it and @TimB4Last reminded me.

I'm a bit slow putting the poll thread together though. Will get to it in a bit and that title will definitely be included.

Sorry about the duplicate request. My ignore list is so short it usually has no impact on how I read the threads, with today being an exception.

Not very surprisingly, he didn’t make the squad for their game today.

And I'll only believe that this is a done deal when I see him take the field. Turkish teams have an amazing history of weird stuff happening during signings.

Welcome to Purgatory! DeAndre Yedlin @ Galatasaray FC

Note: The old Gala stadium was, of course, the infamous Ali Sami Yen, better known as Hell. The new stadium, while trying hard to develop a similar atmosphere, has failed so far.

He'll be landing right in a title fight. The big 3 are really hard pressed this season.
