Miss me of all people with this nonsense. Apart from maybe 1 or 2 regular posters on this forum, everyone else has pretty much had their feet squarely on Hazard's neck for over a year now so where exactly are you seeing all these stories and excuses? If you just want to argue for the sake of it then cool, but I'm good on that. Deuces.
https://sporza.be/nl/2020/09/03/bon...it-is-een-fantastisch-toernooi~1599148687981/ "Eden Hazard zal zeker spelen in één van de wedstrijden, misschien wel in allebei." "Eden Hazard will definitely play in one of the games, maybe both." That's a direct quote from Martinez before the Denmark and Iceland games. There's a video of Martinez his press conference down the page of the link i gave. at minute 8:10 he says it.
Si hubiéramos tenido dos amistosos le hubiera dado la oportunidad de jugar 45 minutos y luego 60 minutos. En un partido de competición no se puede hacer así. Martinez states unequivocally he wouldn't play Hazard in the competition and would only give him minutes in a friendly. He also clearly states Hazard is medically fine; just out of shape... needing 60 training sessions to get match fitness. With the season about to start. Try again
I think this is a case where both of you are right Martinez intended to play him. Then realized he couldn't play him due to his poor conditioning
Which is when Hazard should have decided to leave Belgium's NT setup amd come back to Madrid for preseason.... instead of staying back in a "leadership role". You know.. like Courtous did.
I think at this point it's obvious that Hazard lacks passion for the sport, or at least enough passion to do what is necessary to succeed in it at this point of his career. I have seen all of his montages and he never looks to be training with intensity. He will do his sessions, he will do what he is told to do but not really give it his all. He wasn't leaving the comfort of his national team to come and train hard.
This is what I believe now as well. So disappointing considering I always thought he just needed the bigger challenge to take his game to the next level. Can't state how disappointed I am with Eden Hazard.
The best keeper in the world alongside Nauer currently, and MOTM today. I’m very happy that he turned it around for us, although I hope he won’t be awarded too many MOTMs from now on because that’d mean we haven’t played well and the opponent put a lot of pressure on us.
A GK doesn't need nearly the same level of stamina which can only be gained through hard work and discipline that Hazard doesn't seem to have in him. Plus Tibo is much younger and GK have longer "peak" years that can occur much later after they mature.
The difference in mentality is night and day. Tibo has the confidence and drive to be the best in his position. Hazard never showed the same.
Zero goals for Messi in Clasico since TC became our GK. Has saved 6 shots in total from him including 2 big chances inthis period.
He has scored quite a few against the Belgian while at Atletico I guess. Delighted to see the combination of his keeping and our defence keeping him at the bay.
This must be pretty embarrassing for Courtois. His footwork was always one of his weeknesses. http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=30343932
Embarrassing? It was a nothing friendly match. Without that highlight most wouldn't even know it happened. Also, any guy who hits a bouncing backpass with pass toward his own open goal is an idiot.

Thibo seems to have a nasty habit of punching the ball back at the center of his area. I don't remember our past keepers having that problem. Hope he improves that.
