Who would it be? Trying to think here. I've got a small list drawn up. 1. Arsenal - Thierry Henry 2. Aston Villa - Dean Saunders 3. Blackburn - Alan Shearer 4. Bolton Wanderers - Nat Lofthouse 5. Birmingham City - 6. Chelsea - Gianfranco Zola 7. Charlton - 8. Everton - Dixie Dean / Tommy Lawson 9. Fulham - Johnny Haynes 10. Liverpool - Kenny Dalglish 11. Manchester City - Colin Bell 12. Manchester United - George Best 13. Middlesbrough - George Camsell 14. Newcastle - Andy Cole 15. Portsmouth - 16. Sunderland - Brian Clough 17. Tottenham - Ossie Ardiles / Jimmy Greaves 18. West Ham - Bobby Moore 19. West Brom - Jeff Astle 20. Wigan - Pascal Chimbonda
Cole ahead of Shearer are you bonkers? There are atleast 10 players that were better than him. 1.Shearer 2.Bearsdley 3.Milburn 4.Gallagher 5.Harvey 6.Ferdinand 7.Appleyard 8.Hibburt 9.Robledo 10.MacDonald
Either a, he didn't want to list Shearer for Newcastle because he already had him listed for Blackburn (in which case Cole is still far behind the likes of Jackie Milburn) or b, it's a piss-take. Considering he says that Dean Saunders is Aston Villa's greatest player, I'm assuming it's the latter.
Perhaps moving this to the relevant board would get more of a response. (https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=31)
