I asked this in the Interview the next person (futbol related) thread and i thought it would be fun to read what everyone thinks... For me it would be two... Borgetti scoring against Italy in the '02 WC, it was like 4 in the morning and was screaming my ass off and recently Nery's goal against Brazil in Copa America in '07 i guess i could say that whole game because we came off the loss in the GC Final loss and we rebounded very well
aaa for me it has to be the chivas v boca libertadores game, both ida y vuelta were good, but the 4-0 was awsome I sometimes watch it before I go to sleep
i've got quite a few: Marcelino Bernal's goal against Italia in the 94 WC Luis "Matador" Hernandez in the 98 WC Copa Confederaciones victory in 1999 against Brasil in the final Borgetti's golazo against Italia in the '02 WC Chivas 4-0 raping of Boca in the 05 Libertadores Chivas Apertura '06 Championship

Great idea making this a breakout thread. Quickly I'd have to say- Goal: Borgetti vs Italy Game: No idea Moment: The sea of green at the Nurnberg train station
So many memories. Luis Hernandez's goal vs. Germany. World Cup 1998. Narrated by none other than Andres Cantor. I was like 10. Cuauhtemoc Blanco's goal vs. Tecos. Final Clausura 2005. Tore my jersey. Second time I've cried during a football game. Aaron Padilla's goal vs. Tecos. Final Clausura 2005. Scared my neighbors. Cuauhtemoc Blanco's goal vs. Pachuca. Final Clausura 2007. Oh some great moments that I have seen as a fan is.... and probably one of the biggest reasons this guy isn't with my team no more
So? I didn't know this was "your greatest memory just as long as it didn't happen against my team". Also people need to cut the club rivalry thing out. It's going on in every freaking thread.
For me, it was the summer of 2000. I remember it like it was yesterday...ditching summer school day after day after day to go watch the games...saw Holland choke it up big time against the Italians in the semis...I remember Christophe Duggary (sp) yelp like a lil biatch in the final when his nose got busted up...Trezeguet pullin the trigger at the end...good times.
mexico's performance in WC98. specifically the mexico vs holland match World Cup 98 in general. don't think 02 or 06 were as good. watching zidane play oliver kahns performance in world cup 02 watching rafael marquez play in 05/06, especially in the champions league. his performances against chelsea and milan were near perfect. especially in their away victory against chelsea, shut down their fowards and had an amazing assist to boot. seeing him win a champions league will probably stick out in my mind the most as my favorite soccer memory. so far. here's to hoping 2010 will bring something better.
unfortunately maxi's rodriguez's volley in the world cup... and the interliga finals this year, only because i was there. Cruz Azul and America in a game that counted, though cruz azul lost in penalties, the atmosphere was electric.
I have many great futbol memories, but the U-17 Mexico vs Brazil final match is most likely the one I remember most. Mexico 3-0 Brazil (Sub-17 WC 2005) Chivas 4-0 Boca (Libertadores 2005) Mexico 4-3 Brasil (Copa Confederaciones 1999)
Mosco that bro, he came from way the hell back to place the cross to Eto'o. And Matador's goal was phenomenal under the circumstances.
