The way I read the standings (with eternal optimism that borders on the delusional, admittedly), if the Cyberrays were to lose their remaining games ... and the Breakers were to win, we would be tied with them at 25 points. One of our wins would have been against the C-rays,. which would mean our record against them this year would be 1-1-1. Depending on goals scored in the final game, couldn't we still theoretically beat them out for the # 4 playoff spot?

Would not matter as the 'Rays are 5th behind Atlanta in fourth with 28 points.

The race is now between Washington, Atlanta, and San Jose for playoff position 3 and 4.

As of this weekend Boston and San Diego can just be spoilers playing for pride. Of course that has been true for NY for some time.

FoF is correct. Boston's draw last night eliminated them from playoff contention regardless of Atlanta's or anybody else's result.

As Lilly said last night, the team is playing for jobs, pride, and the fans.
