Hat-tip to the C38 podcast for this one, but it looks like the Rapids have reconfigured their leadership in light of Hinchey leaving. Looking at the Rapids Front Office page on their website we now have Stan and Josh, and then Jim Martin listed as Governor of the Rapids along-side his title of President and CEO of KSE. Then Matt Hutchings is listed as COO and Alternate Governor. https://www.coloradorapids.com/club/frontoffice Below that there are a number of Senior VPs but I don't think those have changed.
WTH is a Governor of the Rapids? Is that normal in soccer clubs? Does a President of the Rapids report to a Governor?
I suspect it is a KSE thing. Josh is Governor of the Nuggets and the Avalanche, I believe (as well as President of both).
So what does this mean for the day-to-day operations of the Rapids? And more specifically with signings, trades, etc?
In automotive terms a governor keeps things from going fast, in our case it may also keep the fast parts from having any kind of accuracy when shooting?
