Another death threat made by a prominent Republican. It's about time for marek to tell us how AOC does the same thing, or something like that.

Day-im, you beat me to it... First thing I thought of when I saw that picture was that it looked like Majorly Failure Grime on a bad hair day.

He gets a B+ for creative writing. Ranks right up there with the guy who wrote a press release for a candidate for the Ontario Premiership, where he called his opponent "an evil reptilian kitten-eater from another planet."

Yeah, but the guy who wants to defund the FBI and half of the rest of government wouldn't be where he is if the other guy wasn't famous for saying "government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem".

A couple generations of Republicans thought they could bash the legitimacy of the Federal government and the (flawed) democracy that kept putting Democrats in charge of it without risking the integrity of the national security state.

We're in the "Find Out" stage of movement conservatism.

They do? Like when Boehner resigned because he couldn't coral the cats? Or like when Ryan was third choice? And then resigned. Or like how it took 15 rounds and a near fight for McCarthy to win the speakership?

This anecdote tells you all you need to know about the meltdown in the GOP caused by Donald Trump.

In 2015 a talk-show host named Steve Deace responded like this after Trump pulled off his belt buckle in an Iowa debate -

    A correct and sane comment.

This is Steve Deace today -

Trump destroyed Steve Deace. No longer can you talk with the guy or reason with him. Trump is the cancer. He rotted Steve Deace's brain and moral compass. The man is no more.

I hope the WH already has a clear and definitive response to Kevin request.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy has reached a new point in spending negotiations, with only five days until a shutdown deadline: pushing for a meeting with President Joe Biden,” Politico reports.

“While McCarthy and his allies are increasingly projecting confidence they’ll be able to notch at least one minor spending win this week, it won’t do anything to avert a shutdown. To prevent that from happening, the speaker would almost certainly need to work with Democrats, given conservative opposition. Asked about that possibility Tuesday afternoon, McCarthy implied it’d be easier to cut a deal directly with Biden.”

What the ******** is McCarthy thinking? He put forward the impeachment and wants a deal with the person he is trying to impeach? I know McCarthy is desperate, but is he also dumb?

"Normally" is probably pre-Tea Party. The GOP stopped being a functional political party sometime around then. Trump killed off the pretense that it was otherwise.
