Tonight is the all-time rivalry classic: Standard Liege - Anderlecht

As KV Brugge looks determined to win the championship, the combat for 2nd place (CL qualification) will occur between those 2 teams.

    The team:
Runje, Deflandre, Onyewu, Dragutinovic, Léonard, Walasiak, J.Curbelo, Geraerts, Rapaic, Conceiçao, Tchite.

Note the first appearance of playmaler Milan Rapaic.

    Isn't Rapaic more of a left-winger/left-mid type?

And if so, are they lining up Conceiçao on the right, Rapaic on the left and ... <in emergency> Gucci in the middle?

Should be a great game. Anderlecht have 2 outstanding young players (Kompany and a 16 year old-dont remember his name) and of course Liege have Onyewu, the US monster. Many people will have their eyes on this game. Lets see if Onyewu can impress once again against good competition.

Gooch is faster than Iachtchouk (or a faster duelist, your choice.)

I think it is literally something like Gooch proves his speed in a duel with Iachotchouk (gezondheid!)

Good, because I looked at that flemish and thought it looked strangely like Gooch twisted his knee in a duel with Iatchouk!

Actually he did dare to dribble him twice to clear off the ball. He had a fairly good game.

You'll have soon the report on YA

I just checked out the Standard Liege homepage... they do a pretty good job... even their English pages.
    http://www.standardliege.com/
Hit the "Welcome" of your preferred language...

But what I liked were the photo sections... check out teh crazy crowd.

These couple pics of Gooch were there... but if you want to see others... I suggest checking out the site...
