Good luck to both Haiti and T&T. Keep flying the CFU flag high.

Why aren't we taking advantage of the other fifa day 3/27? There must be south american teams available on that day. We can also play each other or other concacaf teams like Canada and Jamaica.

Both teams need to play more friendlies to improve their games, if they don't want to see a repeat of the U-20 tournament where none of our teams qualified for the WC.

I heard rumours that Haiti may play one friendly game against Costa Rica and two friendlies against Cuba pretty soon.

No disrespect for Bermuda, but why Bermuda? Is Canada trying to play it safe?

    More interesting opponents for Canada:

Available on 3/24: Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Cuba, Jamaica.
Available on 3/27: Haiti, Trinidad, Cuba, El Salvador, Jamaica, Panama, Honduras.

If the canucks don't want to spare with a potential opponent in the GC, the best choices in cfu are Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Guyana.

Of course, they can find plenty of worthy opponents outside of concacaf.

With a new manager in place, the idea is to have a place to set a 1 week training camp for him to evaluate some of the players. I think the priority was the training camp and the game is a bonus.

Jamaica may become the busiest Caribbean team in the next two months. The boyz are apparently invited to play another 4-team tournament in the US after their successful adventure in Asia. The group will include Colombia, Switzerland, and possibly the host USA as the last team has not yet been determined.

The Boyz are preparing for the next WCQ. Mm... so are the Vincies! ;)

    Chile dumps TnT.
    -------------------

    02-03-2007

    ----------

I think Nelson Acosta could have been a little bit more diplomatic. According to the guy, Chile unilaterally pulled out of the scheduled friendly just to play a better opponent. That hurts.

well Brazil is a better team doesnt hurt being compaired to them. What does hurt is the timing of this which shows little respect to us as it leaves little to no time to get a replacement team. I don't think the TTFF should waste their time ever again to play Chile after this.

Very unclassy by the Chilenos if they have aborted the Soca Wariors game. Especially given the fact that the TTFF may not get a replacement game by the the 24th.

    And the truth comes out.
Seems as if T&T might not make it to the Gold Cup after all.
Jack Warner is back at it with his lying and stealing ways. He claims the T&T government has failed to foot the bill for the TTFF which he claims to have been paying for the last 5 months. "cough bull$Hit cough" Then it goes on to say that as a result coaches may be released and the team may not attend the Gold cup. Also now it comes out that it was T&T not Chile that canceled the friendly on the 25th due to this situation. My apologies to Chile.

What other country in the world depends on its government to foot its federations bill. Especially with sponsorship money and so soon after the world cup. It seems as if Jack has made his money and is now cutting dead weight. Sad day for T&T football. Hopefully this turns out the way things usually do in these cases. Jack and co blow things out of proportion then at the last second the savior returns to deliver us to the gold cup. at least then the team can play.

This is from TTFF press officer Shaun Fuentes:
