I booked 4 nights Hotel accommodation with them and the Hayya card got approved after a couple of weeks. Try logging on to the Hayya app.
Question for people who have booked hotels with guests (friends/family) and need to get the Hayya card. Say we have booked a 4 bed hotel, but a 5th member is recently joining the group (split more money and save on accommodation etc). Can that person use the address of the hotel on their Hayya card (How? Be invited? Or just input it?) without anyone checking to see there's only 4 beds? Or can the person who the reservation is under be able to invite or provide the address to a number of people and someone can crash on the bed/floor with a camping mattress/sleeping bag with zero issue?
If I remember, they had to decrease the overall size in Moscow after the university complained about student access issues. Which was understandable since it overlapped with their final exam week. In general, there are obviously capacity limitations and the Fan Fests in major cities (Moscow, Rio) can hit that capacity early in the day, depending on who’s playing. In Rio people just watched on the auxiliary side screens from outside on the beach and brought their own food and beverage. In Samara during Russia’s quarterfinal match, I didn’t get within half a mile of the Fan Fest. The streets were so clogged the buses and streetcars couldn’t even get through. Having a single Fan Fest in Doha seemed like an oncoming disaster, especially when it’s one of the few places to get alcohol. So I’m glad to see they’re looking to open additional areas. In general, I don’t find Fan Fest to be great place to watch matches (or at least not all day). But I’ll be there in Doha if they’re the only places to have any fun and watch the matches.
I've used this link I found to search all the hotels. https://www.qatar2022.qa/book/en/de...Q4pdpXouJuPBCwDULm8fRW_7WYvs2t1yaUJ9k1SpFtvEU I am looking to buy tickets in the FCFS. Only 2 out of 9 pages of hotels are available???!!!!! I can see all the posh ones are probably kept for the MATCH and QATAR airlines packages. But this is ridiculous. Do you think they will be released with FCFS? Are many of you just buying tickets without accommodation hoping for them to be released closer to the time? I have kids with me so can't make a huge gamble but I am wondering what many of you are doing? Is there a forum anyone knows of where locals are renting out homes just for the duration?
I've got my tickets and booked my accommodations. Decided to go with apartments that are closer to a metro station. I'm not too sure that these hotels would be available but even if they do, the prices could be crazy!
Before the tournament started. It was supposed to cover the entire park area in front of the university. After Mexico - Germany we decided to kit even try heading up there to watch; unless you arrived 3 hours early
Good luck with your tickets. A lot more hotel beds still have to come on stream. Many are waiting for them. However quite a few of us have booked the serviced apartments. They will have a 24-hour reception etc. The only real advantage the hotels offer over the apartments are bars that serve alcohol. You pay a premium to be on the metro which I think is worth it. Many disagree however and they are saving quite a bit. Ahmad Bin Ali stadium (which hosts the 3 Wales group games) is directly on the green metro line and has a huge shopping mall beside it. The best located apartments in Msheireb have not been sold yet either.
Thanks a lot. I prefer apartments, especially with 4 of us, so I will take a look and hope some are left. Hoping to get all the first round Wales games so will have 2 days spare between each so was looking for a pool and some extra random games. Happily swap the pool for the beach - so not sure what that is like if anyone knows? For the 3 wales group games 4 apartments are coming up for 387-500$ per night... and I know some are defo worth half that price or less. The clusters didn't even come up as an option. Cluster A is coming up at 400$ Woah. There has to be another way. Or is this normal for all world cups? I might have to scale back on games. A shame because the 4 flights are making me dig deep already.
I just looked up the Wyndham and for 2 guests this is what they have to offer....A suite for the price of $2,283.79/per night USD!! This is ridiculous!!!
Are you and your family getting tickets through the FAW or the next FCFS phase? Me and my brother are going from Cardiff, trying to fill the empty days with other games, still need accommodation too
honestly what are you expecting? 387-500 a night seems solid. You are NOT going to get a sub $100 a night hotel.... it is not happening so If that is your goal, you need to re-evaluate. Also hotels with 2 queens per room is a very Western things and not something that really exists elsewhere so this idea that you can pack 4 to a hotel room is a pipe dream.
I just joined the Red Wall but I don't have any points to get first dibs on anything they offer. But there is still hope there. I am definitely trying through FCFS. I found this wonky sheep website who does packages for Welsh fans to overseas games but you need a ticket first anyway. I can't imagine if they have anything special.
On that subject, atleast you Welsh have a reliable Wales HQ to gather and drink Exciting news from Qatar 🇶🇦- @GolCymru pre match party venue & HQ for all Welsh fans…meet our host Rhodri 🏴@IndyWalesFans @WalesAwayDays @walesawayfans @TheWelshDragon9 @welshfootball_ @WeAreFSACymru 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴Pls RT pic.twitter.com/viASJd0Uld— leigh james (@LeighWales) June 11, 2022 Keep an eye on the official accommodation website. There was a bit of a lull but for two or three days last week, and then yesterday, accommodation gets added every now and then. I wouldn't worry too much.
Roughly that price covered my overseas round-trip and 11 nights in Germany. I know that's in 2006 USD, but still....
The MO is that the accommodations come out as a trickle. Once you get tickets, you just need to man that site regularly and be ready to jump on something reasonable. One day there is very little and the next several options appear. It's annoying but that is how it rolls...
I was nervous as well, but I'm just a solo traveler. I ended up booking a 2 BR apartment in Najma for 11/20-11/30 (I have the other apartment open for that whole window). Please DM me if you are interested in the other bedroom!
There are plenty of apartments with 2 bedrooms each with 2 single beds. They will cost $350 to $550 per night depending on location. That will be better than any hotel room. So other than the fan camps using containers or tents, those apartments are you best solution for 4 people. Accommodations for this world cup are priced higher than normal, due to the supply - demand dynamic. On the up side, you won't need to rent cars or fly from city to city to see the matches you prefer. All in, this world cup is shaping up to be more expensive than normal, but I imagine as a Wales supporter, there's added benefit to seeing your team compete. Same here for me as a Canada supporter. These opportunities are few and far between. Congrats on the qualification!
Hey guys. Quick question, and I am really sorry if this has already been said here: My Hayya Card status on the app says Conditionally Approved. Do you guys know if I am good to go? I purchased my accomodation via Match Hsopitality and I noticied that some guys here have already reported issues with the Hayya Card approval. Mine one,on the website, l has the Pending status. One guy here said to check the app and over there it says Conditionally Approved.
Flights booked - tickets for 17 matches sort. Apartment book for the group stage. Two matters remain - the FCFS and where I travel within the ME before the tournament starts? Iran?/Egypt? All to play for.
if its been a few days since conditionally approved I would send them a message on the hayya site. 1 of my buddies was pending for weeks before sending them a message with their accommodation booking number and then the next day was full approved.
