Yes with BayernMessi1970, we are particularly active on the fact of also estimating the assists of other great players and according to him, Garrincha could be at 429 career's contribution goals with 257 goals and an assist estimate of 172. Maybe a little less or a little more. For Puskas, we also estimate 950 goals contributions with 705 career goals and an asssits estimate of 245. For Bican, it's a little more complex but he is at 759 official goals and we think (given his position as a pure scorer) to a little more than 100 estimated assists. This would perhaps make a maximum of 900 contribution goals (if we increase to 150 assists maximum) but we would probably approach 859 minimum contributions goals and an average close to the 875-880 goals contributions behind. There remains the enigmatic case of Erwin Helmchen...
Could be more and could be less, Puskas maybe 200-250, Garrincha maybe around 160-180 (similarly for George Best), and Bican maybe around 100-150. Not sure though. Hopefully we can make an estimate based on 1 of their seasons or NT stats!

The assists of Ferenc Puskás in season 1958/59 only club I also counted "pre-assists", for example if Puskás made a cross to Di Stéfano and he made the assist to other player. And I didn't consider the corners as an assist, I put them as a pre-assists.

Yes, it seems too much, maybe this is because the season 1953/54 was extremly good, and if I make the estimate based on this season the numbers will be exagerated. I will try to find the real assists for Di Stefano in all Real Madrid games, and make the estimation based on that.
For what I could count, in the first three seasons in Real Madrid In 97 games, 8696 minutes, scored 82 goals (6 PK) and made 37 assists. That is 0.383 assists per 90 minutes. Real Madrid scored 252 goals, how a player can not assists himself, I make (252-82)/97= 1.753 0.383/1.753= 21.85% So I will make the estimation based on that number

That is getting at least in the territory of what we have for Platini I suppose (a more extended overview of assists than a single season or tournament like for some others). Interesting to see, even though still not completely ideal (or accurate obviously - we can't really be sure how close it would be to being accurate either). If I took a wild guess based on narratives, I might think Platini's real numbers would be a bit better (as he was known as a great passer/assister when playing in France, but of course I can't be sure how things would look as a % of team goals) and Di Stefano's a bit less good than the estimates show (he developed his all-round game more through his career I think, and especially became a total football kind of player in Spain maybe...but of course fowards/strikers can get good tallies of assists because they play high up the pitch and maybe he would use his pace to get clear and then tee up team-mates in Argentina sometimes). I guess you used the reports of Vegan on the Di Stefano thread anyway? What seems clear is that the % for his first season in Spain is very good then (in the ballpark of the top ones for other players, aside from examples like Maradona in Argentina), which maybe contributed well to a few votes he received around that time for places in All-Time XI's like @Titanlux revealed on another thread recently (with Puskas having several more such votes at that point though).
