Giuseppe Rossi in the past season: By the time of his terrible injury Rossi was the most prolific goalscoarer in the Serie A. Can he repeat this achievement in the new season? Will the fact he missed the World Cup boost his ambitions?
He's injured his knee again, so I doubt it. Glad he's on the team, but poor kid has the knees of a 75 year old man.
Rossi out for approx. 2 months for his right knee overload (meniscus cleanup). On 8/30/14 Rossi had examination with Dr. Andrew Williams in London - Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and it was revealed Rossi will require diagnostic Arthroscopy Surgery to resolve his right knee overload (meniscus cleanup). The arthroscopy surgery will be done in London, England or Vail, CO after a further consultation that Rossi requested with Dr. Steven Singleton, Dr. Richard Steadman's assistant in Vail, Colorado. http://www.firenzeviola.it/news/rossi-tempi-recupero-incerti-e-via-web-163218 .
Just heard about this. The guy is certainly a talented player but for his own health he needs to start considering retirement. He's not going to be able to walk by the time he turns thirty at this rate.
On 9/5/14 Rossi had Arthroscopy Surgery in Vail, CO for his right knee Medial Meniscus injury. For the long term stability of his right knee Dr. Steven Singleton Suture repaired the medial meniscus (4-5 months recovery), instead of removing the part of Medial Meniscus that was injured (1-2 months recovery). Also, the ACL showed good stability (Surgery done by Dr. Richard Steadman on 10/3/12) and his MCL is in good shape too. (Had 2nd degree sprain on 1/5/14) .
Poor Rossi. I love the guys ability and dedication but he needs to retire while he can still walk. If he can even walk anymore...
