After his excellent run in the Confed Cup, what role will Conte find for him in 2013-14?

I'm hopping a bigger role. Maybe as a support striker/LW/LFW.

For Cesena President Igor Campedelli, Giaccherini’s work ethic is what has taken him to this stage: “He is extraordinary because he has moral qualities - an iron will, fierce determination, an out of the ordinary spirit of sacrifice and an extraordinary humility. If in the summer of 2008 someone had said that in three years Giaccherini would be playing for Juventus, we would have all thought them mad. But he has become a Juventus player, more than that too, a major player in the team’s ranking in the League, because of his commitment and work ethic.”

Put phat on suicide watch. Seems like the deal is done.
    Farewell, Full Metal Giacc
Little surprising that Juve agreed to a fee as low as the reported 8m euros... only a fraction over what they paid for him long before he became an Italy international.
Rumors that Di Canio may also want to take Matri could have figured into that price. A discount may grease the skids for another sale. Or there could be a bunch of incentives baked that haven't been reported.
Still, you could look at it as swapping Giacc plus a few million for Tevez... not bad business there.
He should get more starts and a lot more money, so I wish GIacc all the best! He's very much a Di Canio kind of player with his ethic. Now show those PL punks the power of calcio!
