Yeah, I'm interested in whether Caro would have used Soldado if he hadn't have been suspended. I'm guessing he would have been in the squad but maybe wouldn't have played and certainly not starting. I guess we'll see next week though this weeks performances by whoever play up front may have a bearing on what he decides.

The timing of Soldado's suspension is indeed unfortunate. The two strikers we have available, Raul and Cassano, are both lacking in finishing. This would have been a perfect time to insert Soldado and see how he performed. I hope that Raul and Cassano can raise their game tomorrow. And if not, perhaps we'll see Soldado next week.

I know this is a little off topic, but whats the 'cut-off' age for the B-team? I mean whats the oldest age a player can be and still play for the B-team?
Soldado is almost 21, so what are they waiting for, either play him on the first team, loan him out or something, he's more than proved himself in the Castilla.

You forgot to mention the quality of Robinho's finishing. Oh well, he's still young.

Don't get me started on this one, Javi Garcia, Jurado and Casilla are the only three members of the squad under 20. A number of this squad must be in the first team squad next season (should have been this season, but thats another story) or at the very least loaned out to primera clubs. We sit here discussing talented youngsters like Raul Garcia, Gago, Oubina, Aguero etc, yet we have players of talent in Castilla. Yes there is a risk but no more so than any other signing...in fact probably less as we know these players better. If they are not good enough now they never will be(with exception of the younger J Garcia and perhaps Jurado) and should be let go, however I think out of players like de la Red, Martin, Balboa and of course Soldado, at least 1 or 2 will make the grade here....just give them a chance.
Anyway sorry for going a bit off topic.

If Caro wants to win this match with a good score he should play this
    lineup

    --------Casillas
    Cicinho-Sergio-Mejia-RC
    -------Gravesen
    Becks---Guti---Robinho
    --------Zizou
    ------Raul/Cassano

Baptista should start the second half instead of zizou or guti
if real play this formation they'll beat etafe by a 3 goal margin atleast
with robinho attacking full time, becks crossing, RC covering the left, and zizou on a free role.. guti an assist, with cicinhos magic

Thats why Jurado was taken lol....

    Maybe this is the formation

    ----------------Cassilas--------------
    ---Cichno--Ramos------Bravo---R.C---
    ----------------Bapista---------------
    ---Beckham-----------------Robihno---
    ----------------Zidane----------------

Ronaldo is injured and Guti is suspended.
    4-4-2 the diamond mid-field.

put Baptista where Raul is, as a support striker, and put Diogo where Baptista was, and you'd have my ideal formation.

Valencia is leading 3-0 and Osasuna is leading 1-0, both games have btw 10-15 minutes left. So the pressure is on for this match.

hey was Beckham unfit?...I thought he was healthy again. Looks like Caro has the balls to drop him. Too bad he didn't do the same with Raul. Also, ZZ seems like he's playing too far back. I'd rather play a diamond with P Garcia in the back, Cicinho and RObinho on the flanks, and Zidane right behind Raul/Baptista. Maybe the game will flow into something like that, I don't see Zidane as part of the DM/CM pivot, he's too offensive minded for that.

1-1 Now in the Osasuna-Malaga match.

I'm curious to see how Pablo Garcia does in this match... Its his first game back. I was very pleased with his performances at the begining of the season (bookings aside) he is loads better than Gravesen. I'm sure the majority of the board would like him to leave but I sure do want him to say.

Here we go again with this Cassano shit.... If he could play up top I'm sure he'd be in the squad. As for him taking Raul's spot in the lineup... well he didn't really impress last week against Sociedad did he? Flopping all over the place.

its gonna be hard to get links mate, Maxxed can only post channel names at the moment. Did you get PCast as suggested in the Match Viewing sticky? I'm kinda hoping Caifu Sports gets this match, I think it will.

Im not Raul bashing, but what? Didn't he play that same role last week and wasn't he completely invisible? What makes Caro think it will change this week?

Zidane playing that far back? It's like Caro doesn't even know his own squad.... Zidane is old and won't be able to help like he should from back there..

Cicinho and Robinho need to have good games....
