I have to say a LOT of the Euro 2024 thread is veering towards post Euro 2024 aspects and questions too. I'm also to blame for that too as I also bring up loads of things that is basically for post Euro. So at this point, might as well make a new thread.

WC 2026 is hosted by USA, Canada, and Mexico in what is the 1st 3 host tourney. Its also the 1st EXPANDED WC too......so we don't have to worry about DNQ, LOL.

what we know is that Nagelsmann is expected to be our coach for this tourney as he recently extended his contract. He seems safe to keep the job as long as he doesn't go out in GS MIN. Although feel like if he we go out in R16 could be axed.

but before the WCQ we have NL next season its back everybody's favorite irrelevant tourney......although irrelevant we should win it once MIN to claim ALL Titles.

so what type of squad does one see for WC26 or even come Fall 2024 NL.

for one we could see Neuer, Muller, Kroos, Gundo all retire from NT in Summer. I think Gundo is only one from the 4 who MIGHT stick around post Euro.

I'm sure people would have been pissed if I posted.

"The Real this time, no joke, Reboot thread."

    :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

don't blame me if we got
-a reboot thread version 1.......with Low saying that he will change things up....but you can't really have a reboot with same coach
-a 2nd reboot thread version 2 with Flick..............who played and made same decision as Low

    :whistling::x3::oops::rolleyes::(;)

to be fair, Reboot thread 1 was made AFTER WC18 distaster and expectations was that Low would get fired. So him staying on screwed over the whole point of the title, LOL.

This EURO will likely see off the last vestiges of that World Cup 2010/EURO 2012 generation, aside from possibly Ilklay. I'm excited to move forward though. The future of this team belongs to Wirtz and Musiala, so I'd be very interested in how we can optimize those two. I'd anticipate that Ilklay and then Pavlovic will take over the Kroos role on the team and we can go from there.

Don't forget to add this guy!!!!

there are loads of promising LB, M, AM/W, CF that are emerging. Majority of the promising Ms are from 04-onwards too. We are like around 1 year away from Ouedraogo jumping to top club in 1BL.

2 years is loads of time for talents to fully emerge as well. Gonna be interesting times to see.

and yeah because we will be basically done with guys from early 2010s there will be more room for new players.

Gündoğan sticking around will IMO depend on what happens in the Euro.

If Germany end the 28 year wait for their fourth Euro, then I suspect he will retire from NT duties, as he stated in an interview prior to the 2022 World Cup that he wanted to spend as much time as possible with his son and wanted to win silverware with the NT which he has yet to do.

Such a shame he's injured. He could have been a Baller coming off the bench.

LOL if Ederson leaves Man City then 1/2 of Brazil's GKs who play top clubs would be gone.

oh well let him bail so that Ortega becomes #1!!!!

    LET's GO!!!!
As one tourney ENDS, SO BEGINS ANOTHER!!!!!!

    NEXT UP=NL.

this needs to be the end of Neuer, Gundo, Kroos, Muller. Only Kroos is confirmed DONE.

we need players like Beier+Gruda+Pavlovic to be build on come Fall which is 2 months away very very soon.

Hopefully a player like Ouedraogo emerges very fast at Leipzig next season and jumps as a contender.

next gen CFs seem to be too early for next season.
we need to end the Havertz at CF.........if Gundo retires just play him or Wirtz at AM. Undav and the older CFs need to be used more often. Hard to get chances when one jumps directly to tourney without any NT exp.

The first thing to do IMO is to permanently end the false 9.

Yep, play guys like Beier, Undav or any other in form CF when Fullkrug isn't fit. We need to base our play around that and use Havertz as an AM alternative.

one good thing about Muller retirement is that he's 50% of the false 9 contenders and only leaves Havertz who Nagelsmann trusted for 5 matches and didn't show much of anything for 5/5.

Honestly, if Nagelsmann insists on starting Havertz he's out of his mind.

what kills me is our lack of usage of the fast players.
Beier was such barely used. Gruda has better speed than most attackers.

hopefully Werner+Adeyemi also make good strides next season. We need that vs tired legs.

Dinkci+Njinmah are other very fast attackers.

I also think Julian Brandt is a better option than Leroy Sané.

Problem is we need speed options, Sane offers that but his end product was non existent in this tournament. I would definitely have brought Brandt though as his firm merited it.

glaring issue with Sane is that he's NEVER showed anything for NT in at any tourney.....Sane like Gnabry have only impressed when playing NLs+Qualifiers+friendlies and that's it. Also Sane more often then not is gazed out aka only effective in NT for MAX 1 half........

compare those 90s AM/W+Muller (from 2016-2024) and they've shown nothing.
    vs
Musiala (3 goals at Euro. Musiala is also ONLY reason we made it out group in Euro 2020 as he made difference with his dribbling vs Hungary.)+Wirtz (2 goals at Euro and his 1st ever SNT Tourney).

Beier has looked more dangerous and deadly than the 90s attackers too and he's barely used.

Brandt, Wirtz, Havertz should share the Gundo role going forward…
Gruda should replace Sane and Pavlovic in place of Kroos…hope Stiller matures and gives another CM option….
I think we are set for the CB position for WC 26 - all 4 CBs look solid and if Sule can sort things out, we have another option

I have seen enough of Sane…I would like Werner and Adeyemi as options from the bench for the WC26

hope Burkardt remains injury free and gives us another all round attacking player who has dribble, head and score

Paul Wanner is likely a candidate for WC26.

in recent interview he's talked about him being in contact with Nagelsmann.

also with him being in 1BL next season with Heidenheim on loan who will play ECL next season.

seems to me once he has a breakthrough or breakout season he'll get NT call up. So won't get called up in Fall but 2025-2026 is open.

I think Di Salvo needs to man up and call up Wanner+Ouedraogo to U21 next season as both are likely gonna be SNT contenders as well. Make them play U21 2025 and then following maybe depending on how they dev jump to SNT.

so Gundo, Muller, Neuer all hinted at this being it for them.
Neuer stated nonesense of needing maybe half a year to a year to decide......LOL, that's too long and no point in playing someone who might retire. He needs to decide by September.

also Nagelsmann has stated that the squad is not young and that he's announcing that some personal changes will happen without naming any names.
