    Germans=30% of list

given that in younger age group we have loads of promising AM/W and exciting dribblers bodes well for future.

I'm just hoping Völler strong-arms Nagelsmann into sticking to the basics and stop fooling around trying to prove how smart and innovative he is, otherwise Germany won't make it past the group stage.

I don't agree with going back to the 23-man squad. The football schedule is congested enough as it is, so more personnel is fine by me.

Julian Nagelsmann's leadership quartet for the Euros will consist of captain Ilkay Gündogan, Manuel Neuer, Toni Kroos and Antonio Rüdiger

    • Manuel Neuer: will be a starter in goal and could already start both games next month against France and the Netherlands, which would be a setback for Marc André ter Stegen who was hoping he would finally start for Germany in a major tournament. Nagelsmann, however, fully stands behind Neuer

    • Ilkay Gündogan: will remain captain despite Neuer's return and his word holds weight in the dressing room. Nagelsmann will give him a more attacking role and more freedom in midfield, similar to the one he played at Manchester City

    • Antonio Rüdiger: the leader of the backline. His qualities are undisputed, although there have been difficulties in the past when it comes to fitting into the group. Kroos' return strengthens him even more. Rüdiger played a role in convincing his Real Madrid teammate

Toni Kroos: guaranteed starter and will dictate the play in Germany's midfield. In order to use Kroos' qualities optimally, Nagelsmann will play a defensive midfielder next to him (Andrich or Groß) who covers his back and wins the ball back, which makes Goretzka's chances even worse. The coach counts on Kroos' world-class passing ability, composure and security on the ball

confirms that Kimmich=RB and also that we shall play without an AM and 3 man Ms of
    Kroos, Gundo and DM

LOL, I purposefully went with oldest possible XI

and now we know our M is gonna be ancient as Kroos, Gundo+ one of Gross/Andrich that's like entire M in 30s, LOL.

    Cannot agree with this.

Wirtz has to play in the advanced midfield role, no doubt about it.

As for kroos and possible Gross double pivot, that's two 8's Gross has never bern a CDM. His best performances at Brighton were alongside Caecedo who played as the CDM.

Andrich with Kroos might work. Gundogan as the 10.

This feels very much like we are gonna prioritise experience to try and not flop again rather then having one eye on the future beyond the tournament. A bit like in the 90's/early 00's.

At least we'll play with a DM. Might give our defence a fighting chance.

I feel like the "one for the future" motto are not relevant anymore since Germany need to win the tourney now rather than hoping to win a title in the future. This is not 2006.

IIRC with Kroos, Madrid don't really play with a true 6 but rather a midfield runner to break up play.

kroos sits just in front of the defence in that left slot.

I am kind of sceptical of Gundo as the 3rd midfielder if Kroos starts - think you need someone with more running there

congrats to Bayer on the 1BL trophy, LOL.

its good to see LB Gunter back from his long term injury, back to back XIs and scoring on Bayern. Increase our LB pool of options.

Holer scoring his 7th of season to make it 2-2 late too.

    best 94 CFs=Ducksch and Holer
    best 95 CFs=Selke and Kleindienst
    best 96 CFs=Werner and Undav

It's seems like his signature move. He draw defenders to the left and curl into the bottom right corner. If he's mastering in this special set of skill, then very hard to stop him.

Scored a stunner last night. Wide forward is his best position where He can torment full backs.

I agree, some say he isn't a winger but imo he does well as a wide forward, so you could play him on the left, Wirtz at 10 and Sane on the right. A lot of individual dribbling quality to support Fullkrug.

But by the sounds of it, Naigglesman playing Gundo, kroos, and a CDM, which I find frustrating. For me wirtz has to be the CAM.

He missed a 1:1 breakaway earlier in the game - classic Werner
