Sad, just sad. I'm almost glad that somehow I missed this until this point at the competition. On the one hand, I am sort of amazed that a society like Germany, which I've heard indirectly has less hangups about nudity and sex, could produce a sexmag spread that sucks as much as this one seems to. Less inhibition, and this is what you come up with? But on the other hand, it remains sad that we encourage women (or anyone actually) who are good enough athletes to make the German national team, to create a value barrier between themselves and others who are less attractive. What sport is supposed to offer is a meritocracy, a level playing field where the only thing that matters is your skill with a ball. And despite all the advances in the women's game, here we are, watching those lucky enough to participate pimp themselves. And not even doing a very good job of it....
