I think Draxler is a bit wasteful and sometimes seems to forget when it's time to pass or penetrate himself, a few times we could have done better if he passed rather than tried to get in himself solo.
Can you blame them? Its a friendly; I'd rather everyone be concerned about health first and results second.
Neuer looks like a monk on the top of his head, same is true for his Bayern teammate Philipp Lahm lol.
5 changes, no Podolski. I guess it's sure to say he won't play at all at the Euros if not for many many injuries..
In friendlies ahead of the last tourneys we used to be on track. Anyway I hope youve seen fullback Höwedes today?
Well Müller did almost nothing to support Höwedes going forward. Müller had a bad match except for the goal.
Can seemed to play decently ... Pitty weigl / kimmich didn't get a chance !!! Poldi and Gomez plaid as two strikers ontop ... Brought nothing !! Loew tested all his attacking players...today , I think there was hardly much structure ontop at the end . Tough to decide starting line up after today .. Wonder if Loew will use oezil as 6 again in the tournament, he did so today second half and against Italy .
One positive today for me was Rüdiger, he seems to be developing a decent understanding with Boateng. That's going to be crucial because it seems that Hummels will not be fit in time for the first game.
Can on the left was a test according to Löw because there is only one left back with Hector and Can has already played there. Höwedes and Kimmich compete for RB. Schweini can play 30 minutes. Özil at DM is an option... so basically anything goes!!!!!
to be fair to Gomez it was his towering header which the goalie parried that allowed Muller to score a goal in an open net. As for the game it was not impressive, even if we won 3-0, there seems to be problems in midfield and other areas. On the + side, we kept a clean sheet first in awhile and no one got injured. Also this is Germany's 250th win at home.
Muller has scored his 32th goal for Germany he's now only 1 goal off from tying the legendary Fritz Walter at the #10 spot for all time top scorers for Germany, not bad from a 26 year old.
what do you guys think of this assessment? Clark Whitney @Mr_Bundesliga 4h4 hours ago Müller keeps bringing the ball through the center, with Özil & Götze ahead of him. Needs to be the other way around Clark Whitney @Mr_Bundesliga 2h2 hours ago Gomez must start. German attack keeps creating chances that scream for a CF of his skill set. Crosses, long balls from the CBs Clark Whitney @Mr_Bundesliga 2h2 hours ago It may be less dominating to use crosses & long balls, but it's certainly more effective in Germany's case Clark Whitney @Mr_Bundesliga 2h2 hours ago Gomez may be better for defense, providing balance. When Götze can't score, MFs push forward & get caught on counter
