[/QUOTE] There is more than one site that indicates that Miroslav Povlovic played 3 seasons with the Quakes..76, 77 and 80. However, Miro did not play for the Quakes in 1980, it was Slavoljub "Jud" Pavlovic who was a central defender in 1980.
Yes....the fakebook picture says it was Miro but it was in fact, Slavoljub "Jud" Pavlovic .. That is why I changed it....
NASL Action: Los Angeles Aztecs forward George Best and New York Cosmos forward Pelé go head to head in Southern California.
Sadly, even though he is one of the greatest players ever, I never met George Best. I'm friends with is wife Angie on facebook and have met his sister in law o Chris Dangerfield's wife.... I think one of them use to date former English footballer Frank Worthington .....
Alan Hudson was my favorite Sounder of that time. Back in the early 70's George Best once said he was the best midfielder in England. Probably the best midfield general I have ever seen. Always knew two steps ahead what he was going to do with the ball. Sadly, for England, he played at a time when the English National team bosses like Don Revie didn't care for the maverick players of the time, like Hudson, Rodney Marsh, Stan Bowles and Charlie George. Hudson didn't help himself with his off-field behavior, either. Like a lot of players of that era, he drank and partied too much.
I remember Alan Hudson as a great mid. I also read he has troubles after he quit drinking.... His son Anthony Hudson was born in Seattle and coached the Rapids last year but too bad he didn’t do well. Glad that he has since been hired by he United States U20 team...
Hudson got hit by a car in London back in 1997 or 98 and nearly died. Doctors said it was a miracle he survived. In a coma for weeks, and many surgeries.
